Thank you very much for the video, as someone who has conducted hundreds of interviews, I can share the likely reasons you were rejected: 1. From your answers, it seems like you use the best practices when writing code, but you have no understanding of why and how they work under the hood. Example 1: you said you use state flow just because "it's recommended". It is recommended only for using in view model, and you should know why, besides for data layer there could be a place for a shared flow, all depends on the context. Example 2: You said you use coroutines simply because "it looks more concise", but there's a lot more than that. For example coroutines are more efficient and "low weight" because they can reuse idle threads 2. The coroutines code snippet question was not too difficult in my opinion, if you had a good knowledge of coroutines, you would answer it correctly. Although it's understandable that stress plays its role here. 3. Not being able to tell the latest Android version tells me you are not up to date with the news and likely didn't take part in upgrading the target SDK to the latest Android SDK. If you had to upgrade the Android SDK to a new version (required by Google Play), you would know the latest version as well as breaking changes that the new Android version brought. To me these 3 are big red flags which would lead me to reject the candidate. But you are on a good path, as long as you continue learning and improving, you'll be able to get the dream job. Good luck!

Google is killing Android. I am also an Android Development for 5+ years. Android development is so convoluted, messy now a days that I honestly no longer recommend new comers to go for Native Android development. I recently started doing React Native using Expo, it's so much better ( Unless you have to write native modules) and simpler. Google has made android ecosystems messy deprecated hell hole
