I just realized...Marty fired his gun for the first time killing Reggie Ledoux, when he saw those 3 kids in that room (well, 1 kid and 2 bodies....fuck Reggie for that). That's a pretty interesting detail

This scene perfectly encapsulates why I stopped working in restaurants. It killed my drive and passion to cook. Now I only cook for friends and family and I've never enjoyed it more.

It’s a different kind of torture he’s subjecting Derek to. Not of the physical, but the mental. He fucking broke him.

He wanted to "deconstruct" food and ended up getting deconstructed himself.

An amazing scene in an absolutely fantastic movie. The guy gets totally deconstructed.

Movie has a terrible ending. It doesn't end really. It reaches a turning point in the plot, and then it just stops. The guy finds out his pig is dead, and then he just goes home. End of story? No! Terrible movie.

Yeah, like a high class restaurant is going to allow someone looking like that to be seated. He's dressed like a tramp and nobody even seems to notice. His hair is all stringy and matted he's got road rash on his face, and nobody notices. Absolutely ridiculous.

That's way too dark for a pinot noir. Looked more like a pinotage.

how did the screenwriter not include: ' ...so are you still overcooking pasta? ' I would've made Cage say that .

How does someone looking like that make it so long in a restaurant without the police seeing what's going on??? Or...is this a Marvel movie where we suspend common sense?

As a combination Life/Business coach, I can't even begin to count the number of "successful" people who want OUT. Most often, they just dont know how to de-root themselves from what's SUPPOSED to be success. It takes courage, for sure, but honestly, what could be worse than living a Life your heart and soul reject, and deep-sixing the thing they YEARN for? Just sayin. Dont give up. It's rarely too late to be who you might have been. Strength and Courage. 💪🏾❤️

The movie's tone starts off as depressing and goes downhill from there. There are the occasional spurts of humour, as Nicholas Cage struggles to explore the difference between gravitas and misery, ultimately opting for taciturn to the relief of all. It may have made a reasonable 'short' movie, about five minutes would be my preference, focusing more on the pig, whose trottery antics steal the show.
