Listened to both at Best Buy, the Bose ultra blown the sonos out of the water. Especially pair it with the sub 700. You don't need the surround speakers for the Bose ultra. Just get the soundbar and sub and enjoy.

@@dazbcos1969 you need the LG Soundbar app. You don't actually select anything but it will tell you what sound mode the content you're watching is in like Atmos, DTS, etc .. Set your TV to pass thru and the sound bar should automatically detect Atmos if the media you're watching supports it.

Great atmos audio delight.you won't be dissapointed. just make sure you use passthrough on your tv and use earc both on your tv and this soundbar.

I just installed the Smart Ultra soundbar today and my wife and I found the AI made the sound like it was coming from a tin can, I was very disappointed.

Thank you for sharing this information with us. I am sure that the sound played by the soundbar is of the best quality. I recommend that you do a reset of the soundbar and a new installation. Everything should be fine.

i got sonos before the bose and the arc (reg) was better in movies but the 900 and 700 bass module sounded better in music and bose had bluetooth

I think this soundbar has 8 speakers, two each for the LCRs and 1 each for the ambient ray channels and a subwoofer not 6. Great review 🙃

I got the Samsung 5.1.2ch HW-Q810C But i turn on center volume to +5 But on some movies its so great to have better dialog. But on musicals its not the best what is the best?

This system does not have a calibration microphone nor automatic calibration function. There is an on screen display (OSD) menu you have to navigate through if you want to manually calibrate the system to the dimensions of your listening area (you need to make actual measurements then enter those values into the OSD). Or just run it right out of the box with the factory presets already set.

The 12 inches Bass on the JBL vs the 8 inches one on the samsunsg makes the hoooole difference to me. With the JBL bass, you really feel like you are at the cinema
