This spinner is a keeper. I am a full time painter and no matter how much brush cleaning you do by hand with a wire brush and shaking it, you'll never be as fast or as thorough without also using a spinner. Just used it for the first time, and no issues. Got the brush in without a problem, and it spins with a lot of speed and no wobble. I got this one because I had just wasted money on garbage - Bennett - that doesn't work. I couldn't even get the brush into the thing without assistance. I had assumed it must be good, at least functional, otherwise Home depot wouldn't be able to sell it. I was wrong. I thought maybe there was a way to adjust it, that I must be doing something wrong, but no, this was just garbage that should never have been accepted to the market. Don't make my mistake. Just go for the Purdy.

The school video has to teach the guy how to use and grab the roller the right way while pasting the WP on the table...lol

That type of rolling technique is much easier on your shoulder over time. That's why they teach it that way.

Yeah. I was wondering the same thing. Shellac is thinned with Denatured Alcohol, but it would be helpful if they'd talk about how much they used; Ratio.

Here in Washington it is a 4 day class at the UW university. I am enrolled in it next week as a matter of fact. Decided to look it up on KZbin and came across this video. Very informative and just gives me more information to sink my mind into on my drive to and from work lol.

@@rickmontes4367 yes I did! It wasn’t as hard as I thought it was going to be. I really feel the course made it easier to navigate OSHA regs! I enjoyed it! I was going to sign up for OSHA 500 but didn’t have enough hours in the safety realm to qualify this time around.

@@jeffslegacy yeah after this I would go for 500 but I don't have many of their prerequisites. I'm coming out the field into this and I'm going to do everything I can with it.

@@rickmontes4367 Yeah same here. I worked in the field as a steel stud framer and drywaller here WA. With 500 you have to have safety related experience not just working in the field. But I am doing other things such as I became a 1st Aid/CPR Intructor, and I am working on receiving other instructor certs so that I can train our employees in house!

stay away from purdey the brand and the items went down hill after Sherwin Williams bought them. stay with Wooster. im a painter of 25 years plus. only thing I like of purdey is the 3/8 colossal roller cover and it sheds like crazy but after 3 uses its the best..

OK I have practically beat a hole in the side of a gallon of paint can -- I'm gonna have to go in the garage and find something more sturdy before I end up with a gallon of Behr paint all over my entryway floor. Crap I must be doing something obviously wrong. Know I'm am a girl, but I should be able to figure this out.. we can make babies and birth babies we should be able to get a rare off the end of a Worcester pro 4 1/2 inch roller. Sheesh.
@seabass223 жыл бұрын
@@gailremp8389 lol. I had the same problem on my wooster 9 inch roller and the mini 4 1/2. At least they stay on and don’t come off on the wall! I use my roller spinner to hit the frame on since it is metal and sturdy. I just saw a 4 inch standard diameter roller and frame today and bought them. Probably a waste, since I already have the jumbo with light green grips, that will work with purdy rollers. As for purdy, I like their clearcut brush. And their woven white dove rollers. That’s about it. I also got a brush tool they make that cleans brushes as well as the big and small diameter rollers.
@gailremp83893 жыл бұрын
@@seabass22 Thank you for your response. There's so much bad stuff going on in the world. The fact that I tried to beat the crap out of the roller which is one of them. I was at Home Depot and I talked. to Bruce who is one of the guys in my store that knows what he's doing. And I said how in the hell do you get this thing off beating it on the side of a can. So we went over and we grabbed the one that I was complaining about and he beat it twice on the side of the beam at Home Depot. And that worked. So I guess I'm supposed to just go back to Home Depot and beat the crap out of it on the side of the beam. Ha ha. Oh boy.
