Is it possible to buy one from a breeder in Turkey and ship it to US?
@marysueeastereggАй бұрын
There are U.S. breeders: Google Akhal-Teke Association of America . Probably less expensive (assuming you are American) than shipping, but the Akhal-Teke is a very pricey breed. They are bred in Turkmenistan (where they originated), as well as Russia and Central Asia, Europe, the US, Uruguay, and Australia. Probably there are breeders in Turkey, as well.

I guess technically if liquid is in your stomach longer, your body has the liquid longer, but if the liquid isn't getting absorbed by the intestines because it's stuck in the stomach, what difference does it make? You might as well argue that if you drink a teaspoon of water from a 20 oz bottle every 30 minutes, you would stay hydrated longer than if you drank the entire 20 oz bottle in 3 minutes - ergo, it'd be better when playing sports or exerting yourself to only drink teaspoons of water every 30 minutes. I'm not confident this tracks.

These numbers are WRONG. The number of stars is way out. There are far more. Since the James Webb Space Telescope starting sending back infrared images, we have discovered that there are BILLIONS more galaxies going back billions of light years. We probably need to at least double the number of stars. As to grains of sand, this is difficult to calculate. Are you including all the ocean and sea beds ? How far down do you take the depth of the sea beds ? How far under the sea are you calculating beaches and coastlines ? If you were to include the entire planet's sand content, I think you'll find sand wins.

I would have happily seen a light-coloured Akhal Teke in the Lord of the Rings movie, as Shadowfax, the king of all horses. An Akhal Teke would have been the best choice for that horse.

Humans classify all animals...Sorry scientist, all classifications are subjective...
@cocoanerd17.-.5 күн бұрын
All classification Humans make are arbitrary because its only there to help us understand the world, and nature doesn't care about any of that. It isn't subjective though. There are lifetimes of study that go into correctly putting together the tree of life through anatomical and DNA analysis. It isn't just what they feel should be considered related, its attempting to accurately recount the history of life on this planet. If you want to consider them rodents, no one will stop you and really aren't going to care. However, its disrespectful to the entire field of biology to call it all subjective.
