This video escalated quickly. I don't think I want to install mine after watching this. Dude had the grinder and welder out for a 2 inch rear suspension lift.

Thats not terrible. I would prefer one of those little Nissan mini work vans, with the sliding doors on the sides. My uncle has one of those. He works for a siding/home remodel company, and he built a little plywood deck in the back, with drawers and stuff on the bottom for all of his tools, it’s got a nice ladder rack on top, he can fit a bunch of ladders and his big metal brake thingy for aluminum flashing on top. It’s a pretty nice little set up, you’d be surprised how much BS he can fit in there lol. And there’s a sliding door on both sides, so that’s nice, everything’s pretty easy to get to. But anyways, nice man, it’s definitely a step up from an open bed pick up truck. I have a Chevy express van, and since Biden f--ed up the economy, and my old business went under, I’ve been kicking around the idea of starting a mobile mechanic business. But I’ve been out of the mechanic game for almost a decade, and some of these new cars are just ridiculous man. Super complicated for no reason. I don’t even want to know how much a good snap on scanner costs these days. So unless I win the lottery anytime soon, probably not lol.

I have a set up similar to this, but its in a Mazda 6 believe it or not. Also, to save on weight, I use Milwaukee packouts. People are really surprised what i can accomplish with a small 4 door sedan worth of tools. I still want a larger SUV or van eventually, but what I got now Has been working just fine for a year.

Hey very good job. It's simple to the point and it's functional. I have a half lab half Shepherd mix always tries to help me out but in the end he runs away with most of my tools. Stay safe and happy wrenching .

How do you know what to charge for your mobile mechanic business? In my mind the convience of a mobile mechanic almost makes it seem that mobile guys should be at least charging what the shops do-but im not sure. Im in the denver area and the shops are backed up over a month. Theyre charging 175-$300 labor rate. I guess im scared of selling myself short and ending up with customers that only came around bc im cheap. How did you figure out what your pricing should be?

There are 5 bolts on the audi q5 3.0. From 2013-17. There is no space to remove it from the bottom. There was just enough space to wiggle it out and reinstall it. It can be done without removing the whole front bumper, radiator and fan!

I manage a small ambulance service and mine went out this morning. I usually only get my mobile mechanic once or twice a week because he so busy, so I figured I'd do this myself. I checked with the mechanic and he said it's a pain and has to come out through the bottom. Thank you for confirming my suspicion that he was totally wrong. I'm gonna knock it out tonight if I can find one in stock. I sure appreciate the video
