6 years later and im still here watching this from time to time. THIS IS STILL THE BEST CONCERT IVE EVER BEEN TO IN THE MOST INDUSTRIAL OF CITIES. They gonna top this in August? I went to both LITS and Tension, so we will see! (tbh i prefer just lights and fog machines but I love the huge productions!)

Like I know NIN live generally deviates from studio versions but this is on another level. So good. A real treat. Kinda wish they'd record a session of that Metal cover.

This is exactly how archival footage from the Downward Spiral tour should look -- shot on a VHS recorder with grainy snuff film vibes.

I was in the pit for this show. Everybody was pressed up against each other like sardines, I slipped to the floor and couldn't breathe, pretty scary, then some angel pulled me to my feet. Still the most thrilling concert I've been to!

Thanks for sharing this!! I was there and my memory of it is fuzzy. I also think I was right up front so I missed out on a lot of the cool effects 😂

This was such an amazing show. I was visiting London from the north of England on an art college trip & disappeared one evening to catch the show. I mean, it was better than sitting about in the hotel bar getting drunk with a bunch of pretentious people. 😂😂😂

I was there. Greatest lineup of Coachella ever! I got to see NIN, Bauhaus, New Order, M.I.A., Chemical Brothers, Weezer, Coldplay, Kasaabian, and The Bravery all on the same day! I thought they would try to top it every year but they've never come close to matching it since. Now they book TikTok acts and the likes of Arianna Grande and Jayden Smith. I'm excited to see the set again (I don't remember the set list at all). But I will say that as good as it was, it wasn't close to as good as the full NIN experience at their own shows. I saw the band a few months later and the show was 100 times better.

There was an awesome sunset as they started playing but the video doesn't do it justice. Remember this show like it was yesterday.

I wonder if lividz filmed this. He was a great filmer and made copies from his master 8mm tapes. Unfortunately he got caught and had his whole collection confiscated. I still have part of his “new concert list” flyer from 2001.

This was the first time I saw them. Had no idea what I was walking into- my husband was in the first couple of rows and I started out chilling in the grass. I was so captivated by him by the end of the concert I was right behind my husband. Like a locust to the flame.

tension was so fucking immaculate, christ the mix and performance and lights was just pristine. Never seen a finer concert from a technical standpoint.

My Senior year and I hit as many NIN shows in '94 from Webster Hall,Roseland Ballroom, Poughkeepsie Mid-Hudson Civic Center, Woodstock, MSG and Philly Spectrums. What a year to follow up with Bowie '95 and Night of Nothing '96.🤘🏼🖤

Saw them finally on that tour.. it was really interesting and good to see. Bit of a let down cuz not as fucked up as his 1995 self destruct tour but artists and bands change..at least we still had him which is most important cuz he went through a ton of personal crap..

Not only was this the last show on the Pretty Hate Machine European tour (2 dates opening for GNR, the rest being headlining shows). It was the last time NIN would perform with both Jeff Ward & Richard Patrick as members of the band. 12 days prior to this show, NIN had opened for Guns N Roses at Wembley Stadium….lets just say they didn’t go down well with the crowd. Also, it’s worth hunting around on KZbin for the sound desk audio from the show at the legendary (& now closed) Riverside venue in Newcastle Upon Tyne which took place on 7th Sept 1991. The audio is incredible & the story behind the recording surfacing +30yrs later is worth reading into.

Correct! I am the one that unearthed that tape. Which you can listen to the mixing desk recording here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3zRXp6iqZmif9k

@@ninlive I used to live not far from Newcastle & knew that NIN had played at The Riverside, but didn’t know of the existence of a recording of the performance; let alone one from the sound desk. I’ve listened to it several times & it’s amazing; just wish I’d actually witnessed the show!!
