scanning instructions ? tell me more
@casualbrixАй бұрын
On the instruction books, there is a QRC code on the front. If you scan it, which registers the set, you get 20 points. This only works on sets after 2018 I believe. I have heard some people talk about it not being worth it, but it takes less than a minute to do when you open a set. It adds up. Thanks for watching and watching!

Lego store online at the Rewards center. There is a tab for redeeming points and the cost: $100 discount cost 13,000 points; $5 is the lowest and cost 650 points. I just divided my point total by 13,000 and moved the decimal point over two. Lego employees told me that. Thanks for watching and commenting.

When you have upwards of 800 sets, its not feasible as they would take up an entire room. For some boxes like Lego UCS Starships, I cut the front part off and use it as a poster. I now only collect vintage UCS boxes like the original Falcon and the Executor. I was collecting the Lego bags as well, and I got past 100 and binned all of them. I was also had instructions on shelves, and then that got also past 12 feet of shelving and so that has gone to the garage in boxes.
@casualbrix3 ай бұрын
When I finally got rid of my boxes, I think I was in the 400s for sets, so I definitely could not imagine doubling the amount. I still keep my instructions though. It will be hard to part with those if I ever decide too. Thanks for sharing your experience on this subject; really appreciate the comment!

Is the Roman Fort actually for sale, or is it just for sale by the set?
@casualbrix6 ай бұрын
The individual sets are or were for sale on the Brickmania website; I believe only the Gate House and Commanders House are still for sale. There was no price tag on it so I believe it is just a display set; since between the additional pieces of the wall, corners, and 185 minifigures with horses and chariots, the price would be astronomical!
@thomasbossie21747 ай бұрын
Will need to stop by the store. Was there last year but they for sure added a lot more to the inventory. The prices on the sets are expensive but for sure they are really cool.
@casualbrix7 ай бұрын
The price point is definatley on the higher side but the limited production runs, custom stickers, and custom minifigs make it worth it. The store also has a significant amount of custom Military minifigures for sale, unfortunately I was not able o show them due to bad recording on my part, but they are on the more affordable side. Running out of space to display sets will always be a big fear for any serious Lego collector. My wife and I have over 1,700 sets in our collection and we have built sets on the floor on top of sealed sets just to help with displaying. Lately we have had to pack up sets that have been on display for a while now to make room for new sets. It is crazy. But it is a good problem to have. Also we go to Tyson Corner Lego store too.
@casualbrix7 ай бұрын
Your collection is well over a 1000 more than mine so I appreciate you providing feedback on how you handle the issue. For me it is starting to become a bigger problem and a trip to Woodbridge Ikea and some room design sketching is in the near future for me. Tysons is my favorite Lego Store in the area, easier to get too than Crystal City and Potomac Mills. Although I do plan on hitting Crystal City at some point just to visit. Thanks for watching and especially commenting and if you happen to see me at Tysons, say hello!
