This would make a satisfying soundtrack for the Fast Videos of, say, putting in the M46 or the brilliant fuscia million-dollar bushings from Mr. Kaplan! It's bright but it doesn't compete and is more interesting that lots of "background music."

Hey sorry I just now saw this comment. I like to use a couple large diaphragm condenser mics about 1.5-2 feet above the drum in a stereo field. I then pan them pretty hard, and add compression, reverb and eq to them. Hope that helps!
