I appreciate that you show us when you make a "mistake" and then how you fix it. I think it does help us to know what to consider when we're doing our layouts.

It doesn’t bother me at all to have non matching single page layouts beside each other. Sometimes it just happens that way. Great simple page.

I learn so many useful tips watching your videos. Today's were taping the two circles together before cutting them and then how you moved the circles to the middle in order to align them. Simple tips, but quite useful. Thank you Sheri.

You just made that last thin strip of blue cardstock! Plan B or C could be a line or 2 with markers for contrast.

The borders around the patterned border make a big difference. I wasn't sure about that pink/red background, but once you put the pics on it, it looked a lot better!

I try to always journal the date & the people. I think it is important to put the people because not everyone who looks at my albums may know who is who. We found lots of pics after my mil died, & we had no idea who the people were. We were pretty sure that some were relatives, but there was no one to tell us.

Good plan! I almost always put the date but am sometimes bad about including names. I’m trying to be more intentional on that after cleaning out my MIL’s pics and not knowing anyone. Thanks for the reminder!

With children bright colors are definitely ok. You would not want to use muted boring colors. This is fun and spontaneous which looks like that was the theme of the day. she is a cutie.

It usually takes me forever to figure out papers and layout today and yesterday. We'll, I managed 1 one-page and 1 two-page layouts for an album of day trips we took. Have a great weekend. 😊

I think choosing papers is the hardest for most people! I just scrapbook SO MUCH I know what’s in my stash and normally know what papers I’ll use as soon as I take the pics.

🤪 sometimes the page just takes on a life of its own!! I think the mats are AMAZING for so many different uses! I love that the patterns are different but coordinate perfectly with all the other supplies!

Simple and symmetrical. I like it! I haven’t been scrapbooking for long, but after watching hundreds of videos, I know the styles I like. I don’t need a lot of ephemera or mixed media. I just want simplicity. Yours are some of my favorites.

I really like this layout!! I think I might add a couple of embellishments--I liked your idea of fireworks or stars!! Can I ask what the measurement piece is that you have on your 12x12 trimmer? TFS!!

Thanks for the feedback! I actually copied a ruler on cardstock and laminated it and then taped it to my trimmer to get exact measurements. Saves me lots of time counting little lines 😉

When I use the rick rack BMC, I don't start at the ends or go right down the line. I bounce around so there is not one spot hanging down as you punch. Hope that makes sense.

Yes, I use the CM strap hinge albums with spargo pages and attach the layouts to my pages when I’m finished. The slide in pockets also work.

Hi Sherri from Australia, I did this exact same layout yesterday at our workshop, super easy, I also did a double page spread and was able to use up quite a lot of my photo mats for the stripes as well as heaps of scraps which was great, thanks for sharing Sherri 😊😊

Yay!!! Glad you found me. This sketch book came out in the fall of 2023. If the pattern holds, there should be another this fall. It’s all blog posts from CM but it’s fun to go through each one, and challenging.
