The gear makes a difference, but an experienced person with a $400 AR is more effective than a less experienced person with all the brand name equipment.

I bought a cheap one like that, just to mess around with. It worked fine for a while but wouldn't hold zero. Just cheaply built and couldn't take the percussion from the gun. If you value reliability and accuracy, I wouldn't recommend buying a cheap optic.

This is the same Chinese crap that gets whoever's label on it. When I bought one in 2008 it was an ncstar. Would never consider putting Chinese garbage on any rifle ever again.

ive used this exact optic for 3 years now, its held zero at 50/200 and taken more abuse than i can remember. its heavy as sin but i cant find a reason to replace it.

You are going to "test" a scope, you don't carry a screwdriver, you don't read the instruction first, you can't hit a target a 25 yards..... maybe shooting is not your sport:did you ever consider going fishing? Or maybe playing chess? Just wondering. Good luck anyway and thank you for trying

First order of business with a fixed focus scope is eyebell dioptre adjustment for your eyes at your shooting distance. Then it may be clearer.

Honestly it's hard to buy really crappy optics nowadays. I purchased a scope similar to yours off Amazon about 3 years ago, installed and zeroed on a 223 Rem. No problems so far and it has held zero perfectly. I want to say I paid about $100 for it. I don't use the lit reticles or the laser, but checked both and they still work.

I could see you were hitting behind the steel at 300 but couldn't tell left or right. For $40. it ain't bad at 100 yards. It's a place to start. Thanks!!

Out of focus? Try using the diopter ring, it works.

Definitely expensive but such a sweet sight. Everyone sure likes to bitch about the price and not talk about the great features on it. I’m on the fence on getting this sight, the Pruf, or the Axcel Driver.

The CV Life scope mounts are great. I don't see any reason to spend hundreds of dollars on a mount when there are nice options for $30 or less.

You would be suprised of the quality stuff you can get at a decent price . No, it may not be trijicon or a similar brand ,but for less than 100 you can see if you like the feel of the product in general before you spend $500-2000 on something genuine.

I love it, "this is so bad" once dialed in "this is not bad, for the money" You get what you pay for. CV Life is cheap, but gets the job done. Not everyone wants to spend 2K on a scope to go shoot at the range a dozen times a year. I have a red dot and a 4x on two of my guns. For occasional use, they are ok and accurate. I'm not planning to go hunt or go to war with them.
