It’s based on the lunar calendar so it’s different every week/month. It occurs on the 2nd, 8th, 16th, and 23rd days of each lunar month.

Haha, it's definitely a spicy dish! You can adjust the amount of chili you use, but that is where a lot of the flavor comes from. Check out our Kung Pao Chicken recipe for something a bit more mild!

Some peoples said that the hotpot is originally from Mongolian chanasan makh (traditional boiled red meat dish eaten by Mongols). Is it true?🤔

It’s impossible to really know, but there’s no doubt that a lot came from Mongolia. It is said that Mongolian soldiers used their iron helmets to cook hotpot and bbq!
