SK Standard Plus in my 457 Varmint shot a 0.239" 5 shot group and a 0.43" Group on the second five round Magazine at 50yds. Looking forward to running other SK Ammo as I can find it. ELEY Contact performs well too, but not as well as SK. Pillar Bedding coming soon for my CZ.

Nice shooting! I just got the 457 and also have an Arken 6-24x50 scope on it. I’ve been using Eley ammo…haven’t tried SK yet but have heard that the 457 likes it.

I think CZ's are head spaced to work better with SK ammo. It would be interesting to try a .002" - .003" bolt shim to see if it shoots the Eley better.

You know that Eley uses the same lubricant on their bullets. One group of fouling shots would have been enough for the whole shoot. I like the wood on that gun. Looks tiger striped

Using Target ammo in a hunting .22 LR rifle? Try a Swiss-made Bleiker action and stock for single holes @ fifty metres (not yards). Target ammo is not designed for use in hunting models.

This is the dumbest comment I've read all year.

Is your bolt that stiff to cycle? I stoned all the sharp edges on mine and is smoothed out considerably. I also started out at 10 in lbs and worked my way up. I found my sweet spot was about 18. Also on CZ wood stocks the factory is saying 25. They say up to 35 with Varmint precision trainer and chassis models. What was your initial torque?

Tried a box of this ammo. Shot OK, but I had 11 out of 30 misfires.😢 Retried in two other guns. SAME results. Bad lot I guess.

New subscriber here! But have been around for a while now... I own a few good CZ rimfires and have owned a Tikka T1X for a while now as well! I agree that many channels appear to "look down their nose" at this fine shooting rifle. Mine will easily keep up with my best CZ rifles if I use the right ammo it likes and that is why I equipped it with an Area 419 30 moa rail and a scope that has 70 internal moa! My T1X serves as a hunting rifle and a target rifle, ready to take on any challenge at the "drop of a hat"! I appreciate your videos and the work that you put into the quality of them! Thank you!

Three years ago Eley would grade Tenex and if a batch failed that high standard it would go into a Eley Match box.If it failed lower than the Match standard it went into a Eley Team box.RWS do the same with their match grade ammunition because it cost too much to dispose of it and it can’t be recycled.However,in the last three years Eley stopped selling Eley Team so guess what box those rounds are going into?

Dat's kinda poor grouping for a long bbl gun at only 25 yrds w a scope. My Walther GSP Olympic pistol w only 2" bbl grouped 1/2" at 50, yes Fifty yrds w a scope on a bench rest. This pistol is an off hand (one hand) Olympic regulation gun, used for their 25yrds slow fire, rapid fire, n long range (50meters) slow fire. But, even w this capability, it's outdated by Morini version etc. Thus, u can do much much much better w ur long gun at 25 yrds!!! Try fifty yrds or even 100. U can do it!!! And, the gun looks superb!

Great video. Some of your groups were outstanding even for 50 yards. The funny thing was when you were shooting SK LR Match I was thinking exactly what you said in the video when you shot that flyer at six o'clock. You put out a lot of good information showing that some ammo works better than others in your rifle of course. But I think generally speaking, CCI standard velocity may not be a good choice for competitive shooting.
@robertbillodeaux89713 ай бұрын
I wholeheartedly agree with your comment, “some ammo works better than others in your rifle”. My T1X absolutely hates the CCI SV. It only manages 1.5-2.5 inch groups at 100 yds. But I have seen the CCI SV shoot so well in other rifles that every once in awhile I’ll pick up a box (different lot #) just to give it a try. Now my 10/22 with its Tac-Sol barrel and KIDD trigger simply loves the CCI SV and if I do my part it will put them into 1 inch clusters at 100 yds all day long. As for my T1X, it will throw SK Rifle Match into little 3/4 inch clusters (sometimes better) almost any day at that distance.

@22waysoutdoors6 ай бұрын
@@gracetrumpslawmy guess is that most curs are silent on track and in the competition coon world you would miss out on the “strike” points. Plus just hearing a hound run a coon track at night is more exciting than just hearing a dog fall treed.
