Thanks for your reaction. As for the popping and crackling, it is enhanced by the exhaust setup. With the standard exhaust the "crackling" around 3k-4k was already there. Due to the AIS System on Yamaha's. My new bike (bmw s1000rr) has the same. Indeed if the bike doesn't have proper fueling, it also enhances the popping and crackling. The bike was scheduled for a remap at the beginning of the year, but a opportunity came to switch bikes. The exhaust is loud indeed. On low RPM's cruising it is okay. As for my neighbors they don't mind. I always try to keep others in mind when riding or driving home.

Gotta politely disagree with ya on that... I've been a bike tech for a long time; my experience is that even if it appears when stock (Euro 5, thanks a lot) it's a sign of fueling inefficiency. I recognize that some people like it, sounds sort of F1-ish.

@@888jackflash ahhh okay I just read up that backfire means fuel is running too lean. But cracklimg is okay if you make it happen like you stop accelerating but then slightly use the throttle to make it crackle and pop :)

@@jaydentomlin5474 Yes. Because of modern pollution controls, (especially Euro 5), the manufacturers are forced to make the fueling as lean as possible, to cut-down the unburned fuel gasses. When you remove the stock exhaust, it makes it even worse. If you want the motor to run as efficiently as possible, you need to re-map (flash) the ECU computer. Myself- I would never allow one of my motorcycles to crackle and pop... it sounds very cheap and poorly tuned. I know many guys like it.

It is! The MT-10 sounds amazing, but indeed the bike is loud. That's why i take it easier in cities and around people. Keeping the revs down in busy area's and let it sing in more open spaces and area's.

Thanks! For this specific video i didn't use a slip on. The bike had a decat linkpipe and the stock end can at the time of recording. In later video's i mounted the SC-Project CRT slip on.

@@aleksandarkoncar8280 i mainly drive relaxed in dence area's. Luckily for me there is only one dence area and that is the city itself. Anything around that is open en rarely visited by police or monitored. Side note in the south amd western part of the Netherlands exhaust are more heavily monitored with annual campaigns against modification's on cars and bikes. Due too tourism and complaints. It simply depends on the country if i think about it

De motor is uitgerust met een quickshifter. Hierdoor hoef ik tijdens het schakelen niet de koppeling te gebruiken. ik hoef alleen mijn linker voet te gebruiken om te schakelen.

I simply use my phone as a mic recorder. It is placed in my backpack or in my thigh bag near the exhaust. To minimize the windnoise i use a bit of foam.

@@ridinggranny oh yeah. I'm trying to buy one right now. Yamaha is having production problems right now and it's hard to find one. The few that I find cost $4,500 over MSRP at the dealerships.

Damn thats a big mark-up. Didn't really know that that was possible. In the Netherlands the new MT10 starts from €18,099. Thats around $19,411.99. so theoretically, you can still get the bike cheaper in the US than in the Netherlands haha. But i hope you can find a cheaper option. Good luck!

@@ridinggranny I might have to get a used one from a private seller. Those are hard to find because people are happy with them and don't want to sell them. Lol

@@ridinggranny that same dealership called me today and offered me a price of $16,500. I'm taking the deal with my Hayabusa as a trade in. They said it might be worth $5,800. They're going to burn me a little on the trade in, but I'm getting my MT10 on Saturday, YEAH!
