Had to jimmyrig a piece of wood through the swingarm to brace against the screwdriver, nonetheless your video helped get the process started and sure enough got that nut off with a simple breaker bar. Thanks!

Persistence or an extension bar on your socket wrench I'd say.

Brilliant Mate!! I was messing with mine and I bolloxed it by removing the rear wheel first and cutting my chain, so I'll just slap an ol' screwy through the chain and wrap around axle housin' and be peachy.

what a legend! complete noob here, removing my swing arm on my R1 and done it all backwards... rear wheel off, shock linkage off, pivot shaft out and swing arm flapping in the wind then realised the chain/sprocket needed to come off 🤦‍🥵🥵 This worked perfect for me. Cheers 🍻

Ridden both, owned a colin edwards gen l and std mille and now have a gen rsvr . Gen 1 every time for me. More reliable, more character and low down stomp and prefer the looks. Doesn't lose out hardly at all in performance either being the r model.

I really wanted to hit my bike, bloody sprocket nuts, I hate them with a passion. I dont know if it's me at fault. But I have struggled with all 3 of my zx9r f/sprocket. Am about to tackle my zzr1400 f/sprocket. Its exactly the same set up as the 9s. Here's my issue. I have never struggled with any other make of bike . 2xGS1000, 1200 Bandit, super dream,,, Gsx750ef, FZ600,,,, even my old Lambretta Li150. Is it ME or are Kawasaki Nuts just bloody hard ???? Nice vid mate, well presented and informative. I too have watched Dels vid,, along with many others. I think I'm looking for a Harry Potter solution lol. Wish me luck . 😀👍🤔

Sorry but I'm a precision machinist engineer, I'm not trying to piss on your cornflakes... Try putting 3x2 wooden stake or similar through the wheel and rest against the swing arm... Good for loosening and tightening... Remember lefty loosey righty tighty 😉

A nice tip, but old CBR1000F needs impact driver, and big one. Othewise you just bend your tools. With big impact driver it comes off every time, you just need to ride it to some garage every time, it's a pain.

Man, I just installed a primary Drive countershaft inside out then proceeded to torque it down... talk about a grown man cry as I tried to loosen that bolt. Your video saved the day even if it took a screwdriver with it. I used hex keys and they held up nicely. I couldn’t quite figure out the configuration for the instal so i put the back wheel back on, stepped on the brake, torqued easily to 54 ftpounds. 2002 Yamaha WR250F. Thanks brother!

I'm about the change my sprockets my self and dont have access to an airgun and sitting on the bike while pressing the rear brake while trying the loosen the nut smelled like a really bad idea so I had a brain fart about just putting a broomhandle through the rear rim and the swing arm. I think I'll just do what you just did. Thanks for the tip.
