I watched 23 hours to see him FINALLY go to war, and he ended up doing jack shit. He complains about the party members in the back throwing sleep bombs. Then don't fucking use them. They only sucked because you chose companions poorly. You sat and ground out levels in almost all dungeons, it doesn't force that on you. You made that choice, it's a better game than you are a gamer bud.

For some reason, KZbin randomly recommended this video, from a streamer I've never watched (though I've seen you on GDQ before!), on a game I've never played, and now I'm addicted to both this game and your streams. Yay!

I’m here from watching you speedrun Tropical Freeze on GDQ this week. Love the energy and I’ll live vicariously through you as I also wanted to play the entire library of SNES. Good luck!

Who cares? Just play it for fun. It's not like you're a streamer.

Yea you don’t need to be a high value dk64 player to play this rando. Just play it for fun.

I love and hate Zelda 2 in almost exactly the same way I love and hate EVO. It's a very apt comparison in my view. Great gaming Spike! Thank you for the SNESMania!!!
@daviddalrymple228413 күн бұрын
I'm with SkyBilz in that EVO is a top-10 SNES game for me. I loved experimenting with the different body parts, whereas Spike seems to suffer a bit from choice paralysis. I generally like the way the game controls; I accept without prejudice all the quirks that Spike hated (the lack of I-frames, that enemies deliberately move to intercept you, and that hit-boxes aren't always obvious). The music is great except for that one track that is only ten seconds long and used in 90% of levels.
@daviddalrymple228413 күн бұрын
The developers of this game also made the Japanese-only "Wonder Project J" for Super Famicom. It was apparently a huge hit that sold over a million copies. I've played the fan-translation, and I love it. It's basically a point-and-click adventure that requires grinding.

Did nobody ask why his tracker has a proof mark as a world marker
@DjoingDalton14 күн бұрын
I was wondering the same thing, it was on a different world in another video, so I assume that it signifies... something.
@Rai2KCompliant13 күн бұрын
I checked the vod on it. He explains that he puts a question mark on a world when it has two goals, and the proof is because it has three and therefore required to dive into. Probably just using Connection for the "key" imagery

The way that the game expects you to find the extra facts not featured in the information pamphlet is to talk to the citizens about the items that you find before turning them in. You can bet that they made the most out of the “edutainment” of this game.

The original "EVO: Theory of Evolution" was a PC game released by Enix that was a more straightforward Dragon Clone (even scored by Kouchi Sugiyama) with more straightforward Pokémon-like evolution based on your stat spread. When a SNES version was made, the dev team made a very ambitious modular evolutiona system, but chances are that NOBODY knew how to make a good action RPG in the SNES days.
