I know this chainsaw is discontinued at HFT . I own one and have misplaced the manual. I need to know what type of blade to get as a replacement. Can you help?

I have a Ford 4000 where they select o speed. I know this might sound odd but how do I start it. My old neighbor let me have it but I do not know how to start it. Any help would be greatly appreciated

+Tyler Shockley Mine is a 1963 ish Select-O-Speed. On mine, you make sure the fuel cutoff (on right hand side of steering wheel is pushed in. Then turn the key like you would a car and it starts. If its cold, you turn the key to just before the starter engine engages for about 15 seconds to warm the glow plugs. I don't have a block heater, so if its really cold, its a very big barn space saver.

Hi "sdmarkow", I'm Otto Strauch and, if I may, would like to offer some suggestions to make using your Petite more enjoyable. 1 You have one of the older models that did not have the brush attachment. All Strauch carders now come with it and you may consider added one to your Petite. This will eliminate having to use a separate brush as you did. It will also prevents fiber from being caught on the infeed drum since it does a great job of packing the fiber onto the large drum. 2. Is there a particular reason that you are not using the feed tray? The tray brings the fiber closer to the infeed drum thus eliminating having to use hand cards to "pre-card" the fiber prior to drum carding. If you have questions, please contact me: 540-864-8869 or [email protected] Hope this helps, Otto

Hi Mr Strauch! I love your company and your carder. We finally decided we are going to purchase the packing brush. As you mention, ours did not come with the packing brush. We bought the carder second hand from someone else. It did not come with directions, so, frankly, we didn't realize that the "feed Tray" went into the slots under the wooden guides to push the fiber toward the center. At the time, we didn't see any other videos of anyone using the petite. So, we had to watch videos of other carders and make a guess. Even so, we love this little carder and it gets used VERY often. It does a heck of a job carding out Cotswold wool to perfectly consistent roving. We'll try it with the tray in the correct place and maybe post a follow on video. For anyone reading this comment and actually watching this video, this is why I would/will buy more products from Straunch Fiber Equipment Co. Mr. Strauch has personally answered several emails when I had questions earlier and, yes, he cares enough to view and comment on videos that dummies like me post!

Take the upper front bolt out last. That thing is heavier than it looks, so be ready.
@sdmarkow11 жыл бұрын
There are only 3 bolts holding it on. 2 you can see as you look at the starter. The third is tucked behind the starter on the top. No room for a bolt on the bottom back. If you need, I can post a video showing where they are, but I'm sure you'll see it. The one in the back is a complete pain to get out as you have to have the right combination of ratchet extensions to get at it.

I have a 4000 with starter issues also. How does the starter come off?
