"This is an alveoli." Actually, it's an alveolus (singular) :-) Otherwise, a much needed clarification for what is often poorly understood. What is needed is to integrate the amount (volume) of oxygen transport capacity, i.e. hemoglobin. An anemic/hemorrhagic patient will have the same PaO2 and SaO2 readings, but have a total reduction of oxygen volume. For example an SaO2 of .98 x 1.34 (coeff) x 15Hb = 19.7 mL O2/dL The same SaO2 of .98 x 1.34 x 7Hb = 9.2 mL O2/dL. Despite an unchanged PaO2 and SaO2, the oxygen volume is 50% less.

PaO2 is the O2 partial pressure in the arterial blood, PAO2 (capital "A") is the partial pressure of O2 in the alveoli. I noticed you used the wrong one in the video and they are not equivalent (cf.the Aa gradient). Be careful it can get very confusing if you start switching them up!

Just a few comments from what I heard in the live meeting with NSCBN & PearsonVue representatives on Thursday, this week. They stated these changes were in effect specifically until July 4th. The PersonVue representative stated that PPE would likely NOT be provided for test takers, but as you mentioned, testers can bring their own PPE. They said there will be hand sanitizer available at the sites and no touch ID /check in. Staff at testing sites will have own PPE. Hope this helps!

Hi Wanda -- thanks for adding what you heard from the live meeting. That was quite an experience for that many people to be on the same webinar ;0). Thank you for adding the exact date of July 4th. I didn't' include that here -- as they haven't put that in writing on their website yet, but I am glad we have it here for the students! Appreciate you taking the time to add to the video! If I was taking the NCLEX (and THANK GOODNESS I don't have to) I would be checking their websites and checking with the specific center as I think that will be critically important. Go get em Class of 2020! Professor Lawes
