Hey Brian, another great video and what a beautiful spot. Some really nice shots there. Ripper sunset too. Sorry it’s taken so long to drop a comment on one of your videos, but the way I watch KZbin rarely sees me either opportunity to comment as I watch, but not this time. Anyway, my name’s Geoff and we met in the Warrambungles as I was awaiting the light (on a very poor shot, lol) and I said I’d drop you a msg to say hi. Keep up the great work, always enjoy your videos. 👍

Hey there Geoff - great to hear from you! I remember it well - you're from up the coast if I remember correctly. Hey, I've stood there many a time myself and it's usually a case of 5 minutes after I've packed up, the magic all happens, ha ha! Thanks for the comment - really appreciate it 👍🏻

Where are we? Haha Great results there Brian. The dodge and burn definitely lifted the leading line of the road...
@klickinthewild2 күн бұрын
Hey thanks Mike - good to hear from you! I must admit, it does look like there was some dodging and burning there but I think it may have just been the way the light was at the time I took the shot. There were lots of clouds passing overhead so I can only put it down to that as I didn't touch the road. I did lift the leaves on the tree on the right just a tiny amount as I found it was blending in with the background too much. "Where are we?" I thought it was funny that my mate Lefty couldn't remember either!

Nice visuals, try finding the Voice isolation in your editing software, will make a huge difference to the wind noise. I use final cut and it's in the audio section, works very well. Looks like you had a great trip..
@klickinthewild2 күн бұрын
Thanks K9 👍🏻 Yes, I tried voice isolation but the compression was really killing the whole audio track. I've got a couple of other plug-ins which didn't help much either unfortunately. What I really need to do is fix the problem at the source i.e. use my wireless mics and 'dead cats' etc - then the voice isolation would at least have have half a chance of working 😉. All the best and thanks for watching 👍🏻

I'm glad it's not just me that forgets where I am. I noticed a bit of a halo around the mountains on the pano. I'm not a pixel peeper but it happens a bit on my photos so I am used to seeing it. Apart form that little comment I loved the shots. The lighting and the colour were awesome.
@klickinthewild2 күн бұрын
Many thanks Richard 👍🏻 I always try to keep image sharpening very subtle, in fact I often dial down the opacity as well. I also use masks so the high contrast areas don't get too much sharpening. However, once you've done all this, exported the files and uploaded them to KZbin, the outcome doesn't always translate to what you were going for. Oh well, got to keep moving on eh - the original high res images didn't come out too bad. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

Epic Brian, apart from from the brief Alzheimer’s episode……….. the shot of Razor back and the Pano were my favourite 👍
@klickinthewild2 күн бұрын
Haha - thanks Paul 🙏 I thought it was funny that Lefty couldn't remember either! The Pano was one of those panic moments (I'm sure you've been there) where there was colour on both the left and right and I realised my 16-35 lens wasn't wide enough - then I suddenly thought..... PANO!! I was glad it came out ok 🙏

Hi Brian. Just comparing shots from previous waterfalls you have visited and wondering do you have a preset you use when editing the colour. Whatever it is the colours are fab.
@klickinthewildАй бұрын
Hi Barry - it's a good question but I never really use presets. I tend to process everything from scratch. It's interesting because the more shots I do, the less processing I try to do - just try to keep everything subtle and minimal and take breaks i.e. go away and come back in 10 minutes to see if you like what you did to the shot 😉 Thanks for watching!
