A good wife/partner, is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. 16 Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. 17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. Hi HWAB. A few year back I drove a Mercedes 240D I can't remember the year. I was sad to part with it after 5 years driving. O-60mph in around 5 minutes .....so no overtaking advised. We called it the flying sofa. Long gone now. Good wee film! Ah memories. Best wishes from the Belfast Castlereagh hills.

You don’t need to remove the driveshaft or ball joint, just unbolt the lower 2 bolts on the suspension, smother in wd40, unbolt the anti roll, and give it a good few taps, Jack up the suspension only under the bottom part of the spring, keep tapping the arm and it pulls out, then unbolt from the top and take it out… I just did this today, tbf I was going to do it your way but couldn’t get the bloody hub nut off snapping my breaker bar, so gave up and did it my own way, first front took 2 hours 😂 but 2nd front took 30 minutes not having to mess around… if you do it my way people just take your time jacking the suspension up and use something suitable as a bar between the Jack and suspension, only have to Jack it up 3-4 inch enough to get it out of its slot

When you say the cup was the wrong way around. Do you mean the position it was currently in or on the other side of the spring as I'm all confused with mine as it looks like it belongs on the top of spring on mine 😂

Here mate just stumbled upon this video as bought used Stance kit for Mk1 TT. I'm a complete DIYer but I am brave enough to attempt it. No surprise 2001 original parts are pretty much seized on but my issue is the rear springs. As I've bought a used kit I might be missing parts (including the instructions) but do they come with rubber in the rear? The OEM rubber parts are perished but even then won't fit even if not perished....any tips? It's a complete project car so any tips about bringing it to a 'pro' are a no go. TIA
@MarkHillhwtb3 жыл бұрын
Hey, cheers for the comment. How do you mean rubber? As in to cover the top of the strut or you mean at the top when meeting the underneath of the car. In either way they do but very flimsy and don’t really serve any purpose. Your best replacing any bushings etc when you can as I waited and the original bushings didn’t last long at the rear. Upgraded to power flex adjustable and haven’t looked back. Take your time and it’s doable ok providing bolts don’t seize etc.

@LSnium3 жыл бұрын
@Lucas Alright, boring, so like I actually have a nice Lexus LS400 thats not riced out to make people look at me like a dumb teenager thats going to work at McDonald's, ever wondered why car manufacturers never stance cars stupidly and add all these silly modifications? BECAUSE ITS CHILDISH, it serves no purpose what so ever, it makes the car look trashy, ghetto, and it shows that the person who drives it is not a serious person and like to drive around in a damn car that scrapes going into driveways and speedbumps, Lexus made their cars for the elegant, useful, businessman CEO, someone wealthy, not a stupid ricer.
@shroomyguy31232 жыл бұрын

@carart4fun1749 ай бұрын
After reading your comments and reply, you need to do your research. VIP and a ricer is not the same not even near the same. VIP is a term for cars that are made for luxury. If you ever ride in a ls400, they are comfortable no matter what type of suspension you put in. Reason is the seats move with you, having that feeling of a riding a wave. These vip cars started in Japan where the yakuza wanted to lay low from the police. While they used to drive high end cars like Mercedes, they were constantly arrested for gang related activities. Therefore the jdm vip cars came in handy. The yakuza could lay low from the police. The whole vip style came from the bosozoku(I am not about to explain what the bosozoku are) but vip is basically the clean version of a bosozoku car. Before you hate on a style, I suggest do your research
