I'm so glad they do this now! I had such a painful experience as a young teen when I had to have this procedure. The nurses had so much trouble getting the catheter in until they called the doctor for help and he told them to use this gel (they didn't think I needed it "because I'm a girl". The difference was like night and day! As a soon to be Child Life Specialist, I definitely want to advocate and help with this and other procedure. Saving this video!

The play room, the game room, the kids life specialists who come to them with the activities if they can’t go. It’s amazing what they do in there to give kids even a little normalcy and as a parent I very much appreciate it

Thanks for this information. The MULLER MANEUVER, which is trying to INHALE rather than PUSH against a blocked airway (the Valsalva maneuver), works far better for me. Over 40 years and many SVT episodes, I used to always try the Valsalva maneuver and it often didn't work - I had to go to the ER several times and get Adenosine. But several years ago I discovered the Muller maneuver and it works every time (sometimes I have to do it more than once). It's a weird feeling to lower your intrathoracic pressure, but it's worth the discomfort. Hope this helps someone!
