as a muslim i'm cringing so hard from laughing too much and wonder if any non-muslim especially people of the book understand that imam al-mahdi is neither a prophet nor savior, seems like they got their information from yet another shia's esoteric knowledge and craziness in their faith, can't blame them since any average muslim would called them as crazy.

I love how we initially laughed at the ridiculousness of Stilgar's beliefs but then later on realize that he is becoming drunk on propaganda, or in this case, his faith. Whil faith is indeed a power that all men can fall back on, too much of it can turn into dangerous fanaticism.

@@patrologos I mean, sheesh theres to many examples in the English language since its literally a melting pot of shitloads of other languages. Like slang of other languages became our dialogue. But idk, "Mors" means death in latin, "more" in english. Umbra- the shadow, shade, ghost im sure you use Umbrellas... you like using those ghosts to cover you from the rain? most words in english come from other places, and there are some pretty wild overlaps in general. You could probably write an entire paper on this said topic honestly.

I get the impression that Paul is fucking pissed he has to do this.....trapped by prophecy. Yet hes clearly power hungry and wants revenge. Chalamet was so good in this
@JesperVille13 күн бұрын
He absolutely is, Paul never wanted to be the Kwisatz Haderach, he never wanted to start a holy war and spread death across the universe, but drinking the water of life changed him fundamentally in that he never wanted to do what he did, but he now knew what needed to be done in order to truly change mankind for the better, not in the moment but in the long run. If only he had the strength of will to finish the Golden Path rather than just start it
