I've had this blender for about 5 years now - although I seem to have lost those attachments - and it's still running well. The glass jug is heavy but at least it doesn't crack when you put hot water into it, like my previous blender. It's relatively silent and performs well for most purposes.
@MarkCampion3 жыл бұрын
Yep, mine is still going strong 💪
@alexorphic27522 жыл бұрын
Is it really silent compared to other blenders ?
@edward_grabczewski2 жыл бұрын
@@alexorphic2752 It's averages about 74 dB (for the technical then I measured both dBA and dBC but there was only 2 dB difference at a distance of 1 meter) which is as loud as inside an idling but noisy car. But the Bosch is much quieter than those high speed, powerful professional blenders like the Vitamix (KZbinrs have measured these between 80 - 90 dB). Since 3 dB implies a doubling of volume then the Bosch will appear to sound between half and 5 times quieter than a Vitamix.
@alexorphic27522 жыл бұрын
@@edward_grabczewski Thank you for your reply , what about Bosch mmb6141 ? Which of these 2 to choose ? You know the dB of that ?
@edward_grabczewski2 жыл бұрын
@@alexorphic2752 I don't know that model since I only own this one. I took my measurements directly from it - without anything in the glass jug.

So many people say its easy to clean that I am starting to think I must be doing something wrong. I bought it a couple years ago and yes, it is rather silent. But cleaning? You take it apart nicely, yet you are left with one or two parts screwed on with remains of just any food you put in. I had to unscrew the small screws every time to be able to mostly clean it so that there are no pieces of food remaining to rot. Hence I have been avoiding to use it for years. How come no one gets their food stuck in there? Have to mention I washed it by hand, dont own a dishwasher.

how does it work with ice?
@MarkCampion5 жыл бұрын
It's officially suitable for crushing ice and does the job fine. I'd suggest that often putting lots of ice in will eventually dull the blades.

First, thank you for a very informative video. Are you still using this one? Does the jar/jug's bottom leaks the liquid to the motor? Because i have read some review from the internet and it said that the bottom its jug lets the liquid out and it make the metal mechanic parts underneath rusted :(

l had a Bosch MMBH6P6BGB VitaBoost High-Performance Blender for 8 months, is there a blender which has an easy to clean metal base? For first 5 months it was great. The metal base directly below the jug and underneath the blades gets very dirty from all the blending, the blend will seep under there no matter how tight the blade. The problem is we can't get access to it, no screws or twisting, only special company tools can give you access. The dirt builds up until it goes from a bright silver to a darkish shade. Worse thing is this seeps into your blend, making it toxic, as l am sure some of it is the lubricant used for the bearings for the rotating blades. Yes I use baking soda and water on the cleaning mode, even blend lemon pieces, but that does not get rid of the filthy base, only elbow grease, but we can't access. btw the metal rotating nut at bottom of jug is also leaking profusely on the 8th month. usage is totally 'normal' ~ once a day for 15mins?

is it easy to clean? what i mean is the metal base below the glass jug and the blades, l have the more expensive bosch blender, MMB33G5BGB, and that is filthy on the metal base plate, it has gone from silver to dark shade, which dangerously leaks into your blend. l have used almost daily for 5months :(

Most christians believe because their family took them to church and taught them the doctrine. There's two possibilities, either belief in the supernatural is man-made delusion, or god is a cynical puppet master. Former is the utterly most likely one, and possibly demonstrably true, and the latter would mean there's no free will, no purpose in life, and no difference in your actions as, from our 'illusional' perspective, a thinking being.
