What Are Your Other Channels. I Remember Tuning In Before, But I'm Not Sure If I Subscribed.
@autismmom30582 жыл бұрын
I have a granny channel, where its doing really well on viewership . I only have 15 subscribers there but it's doing much better than my main channel which has 1,700 subscribers with far less views . It goes to show you subscribers do not matter much without the constant support of leaving comments and watching . I love your channel with your son. I lost a grandchild in 2020, but in 2022, God brought me another one healthy and strong. The first was stillborn. I'll never forget his face. Yet my grandchild now and I make videos reviewing baby products and vlogging. It may not be for you since you don't have any babies. I'd appreciate if you share it. Of course I'm still supporting you . I watch sometimes but I don't always have time to comment because I have to make myself get off of the computer. LOL My granny channel: ItsMyLifeGranny

It's tough managing 2 channels, but I hope to be back here with more content. To make it clear I do not have Autism. My son has it. I never gave up on him and he's is one of the most wonderful people in the world. It can be challenging, but I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else, until he became a productive citizen.

You and your son are a light in the dark 🙂. I share similar experiences and boy was it lonely. There was a stigma attached to autism but I’m hoping the world is slowly catching up as it’s been a battle. My son and I volunteer at a special families centre which is amazing but it’s been closed to visits for almost a year due to covid. My son has learned to bake however so we’re being as positive as possible during these restrictions 😃 I relate to you and you’re so right I struggled to find simple meal plans on here or anywhere, for families with similar needs. My son is my sunshine ☀️ and has always been, he teaches me as we go along as I believe I too am on the spectrum and I say things as I see them 😄. I’m here , you’re not alone 😍.

🤯😥😪😢🥺🤯 Heeey Girl!, I Definitely Understand Because My Son As Well Was Diagnosed Later In Life As Well. Not As Late As You, But Late All The Same. I Have Seen His Channel And Love His Personality. He Is Very Outgoing On His Channel As Well. I Agree We Definitely Need Support Groups For Moms With Adults Autism Kids. Please Do Some Vlogs😄. As You Know I'm Here!🥰 Now We Have To Get More. Facebook Has BAM (Black Autism Moms). A Lot Of The Moms Have Younger Children, But There Are A Few Of Us With Adults Kids.

@Shannon, we slowed down on videos once covid hit, but I'm trying to ramp up again. I just put out a video today. Oct. 13, 2021. We want to do more vlogs here. I hop ewe can soon. In the meantime I am going to try to keep the channel going to remain more relevant. I see we have 33 subscribers here now. Yay!

First time watching your channel. My wife mentioned this case and it led to me research regarding this case. As parents of 2 Autistic son's we are concerned of the threat of harm/abuse from police or anyone else especially the judicial system.

I know it's sad, I feel so defeated whenever my son has to go out and take care of normal life things such as report to his job, driving his car, or something simple as taking a walk. It's scary. I've been so buys with my main channel, but I plan to return to this channel soon. It is so hard to manage them and remain consistent but I felt the need to get at least one further off the ground. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Your Son Is Amazing. Check Him Out He's Talking More. Love This Video! 😀👍🏽I Definitely Understand About The Gifts.🤣😀 We Are So More Excited Then Them. Trying To Surprise Them Is Hard, Because You Might Not Get The Reaction You Desire 🤣. You Are Right, They Don't Realize That Children With Autism Turn Into Adults With Autism. Also, There Are So Many Support Groups For Children We Definitely Need More For Adults. You Guys Rock!

I will definitely be sharing your stores link on my Facebook page!! Me and my brother Are starting a business too! My brother is diagnosed with Autism and I am awaiting evaluation and I have a son diagnosed with level 3 autism and non verbal, and my other son is also being evaluated. My older brother could never get anywhere with pitiful excuse for work programs they have, so we are starting a business that will only hire disabled adults and will hire aids and make whatever accommodations needed is the goal! Like you said, so many things only focus on kids, and unfortunately Autistic and other Disabled adults are eventually left without parents and no resources and essentially thrown out into the wild with next to nothing! It makes me so happy every time I see people addressing this because people NEED TO KNOW!! There will be change one day, but it has to start with us working towards that, because it won’t just change on its own. Also, high functioning children and adults go without needed supports as well, which needs to change, my brother is considered high functioning because he has a high IQ and can talk, but he needs help with things like brushing hair, teeth, reminding to eat, etc and he can’t make decisions required to keep himself safe in many situations or work. And yet he qualifies for next to NO services just about. It’s pitiful that this is continuing. Thank you for addressing these important issues lol I’m sorry for rambling but I am passionate about this

The Autism Family, I wish I could find the way to bridge the gap between people with a learning disability and the rest of us. There are so many assumptions about people with autism. Especially high functioning adults which is often times misunderstood and neglected more than anyone on the spectrum. That you for stopping by our channel. Also if anyone orders a T-shirt please let them know to size up because some people have told me the sizes run small.

Purple Diva, thanks for stopping by and sorry for the delayed response. I am managing two channels and I have to adjust to checking on this one which is actually more important than the other channel. I just started recently and finding it tough to find things to talk about, but I wanted to reach out to others like me and especially with an adult with the disability . I'll check to confirm but I think I'm already part of the DCThePurpleDiva family.

Hey Daralynn and Jack! Jack is very intelligent and handsome. I think that now that he is older he probably has learned strategies to help him process information while integrating in group social situations. It speaks for itself the type of mother you were to him by the tone of his voice and the vocabulary he uses. I can tell that you gave him good opportunities in terms of his education. Jack is awesome just like his mom!

@AgedGraceful, I had involved in speech therapy, one on one attention in school, outside of school, he went to see counselors weekly, and I hired a tutor to come to my house to teach him. Not to mention all of the entertainment activities like Boys scouts, guitar lessons... ect. Whew! I lived in my car with a television, magazines and a cooler in the trunk with dinner and snacks. Whew!

What are some of tour challenges being a mom with a child with a learning disability. I will be buying a shirt too!! You guys are cute.
@autismmom30584 жыл бұрын
@K&V , We're great. I think he thrives better with one on one attention until he's comfortable with something new . The main challenge is getting others to try to understand he needs extra time to process something without someone thinking I'm trying to treat him like a baby. I want him as independent as possible because it's healthy and I believe he finds some since of pride .

Hey sis this was very touching and informative as to the fact that the teacher was ill prepared to handle your son and didn’t realize that he needed to be in a class with students that have the same learning challenges. Your son sounds very intelligent and just needed to be in the company of those who were properly trained. The picture he drew of you is amazing! The detail is astounding! God bless his heart and yours.
