Why aren't your books accompanied by a CD to give a thorough and a visual understanding?
@JamesGloverVedicMaths11 ай бұрын
CDs are now an outdated means of technology. Furthermore, the publishers did not ask for this.

Why were you using the number 9?
@JamesGloverVedicMaths11 ай бұрын
Because it's 1 less than 10. So the numbers of 10s in the dividend is equal to the remainder when divided by 9. Eg., 30 ÷ 9 has a remainder of 3.

Wow, I actually took the time to try it out and it is actually really cool! It really works, and it's fast. In fact, it's less error-prone than doing the whole multiplication digit by digit (standard school method), since there are fewer operations to mess up on.

Not a trick! Magic until you understand it. Thereafter it's both magic and mathematics.

Hi Jim, Thank you for your videos,I have learned so much about Vedic Math by watching them. I was wondering if you would mind clarifying something for me.I was reading The Cosmic Computer book and on page 86 the last term was found by multiplying the product of the extremes minus the product of the means.Which was opposite of your method.But somehow both methods gave the same answer.
@JamesGloverVedicMaths6 жыл бұрын
Sorry, but I've only just picked up your message. The answer is that it's the modulus value, i.e., positive value of whatever is calculated.

Hi James, I'm new to Vedic maths and couldn't understand your dividing top and bottom by 6 to get your answer.. 100 divided by 6 is not 25 ? Is there another video which explains how you chose to do this. I really want to understand. Thanks in advance
@JamesGloverVedicMaths7 жыл бұрын
Hi Nigel, Thanks for your query. It was my mistake. I meant to say, divide top and bottom by 4 to give the correct answer. I've now added a caption to correct that.
@nigelhaslam7 жыл бұрын
No worries, thank for your swift reply. I can understand how easy it is to make a verbal mistake but I'm at that crucial stage where I can't spot such, otherwise obvious errors.
