what is the saying. "any landing you can walk away from is a good landing. Any landing where you can use the airplane again is a great landing. " you could juts say you are in training for Ryanair. LOL love VFR video's especially in a turbo prop. Question are king air's flaps up take offs or do you have to use flaps? i know some turbo props like the SAAB 340 can do flaps up takeoffs. What routing was this do you remember? Only negative to the video is no atc sounds. otherwise a 5* video.

@RunwayHeading7 ай бұрын
Are you an MEI? I would try and get as much multi time as you can. Also, if you live near CAE or FlightSafety you should look into becoming a sim SIC for them. I know once you do 80 sim sessions at CAE (I would assume FSI has the same or similar program) they will give you a “free” PIC type rating. Also, make an account on BizJetJobs they have a low hour section. And a good Facebook group to join is “Corporate Aviation Job Listings”
@Pilot8017 ай бұрын
No MEI yet. But I didn’t know that about FSI. They have an office right at the Salt Lake City airport where I work. I’ll check that out. Thanks for the info! Keep making videos; they’re fun to watch!

Hi Dennis, like the way you flight king airs. But I wonder why you did not put full rpm before landing in this flight as you usually do in other videos and as I always do. I don't like to see the orange reverse not ready light on final.
@RunwayHeading Жыл бұрын
In my other videos it should be the same as this one. It’s common practice to land King Airs with the props pulled back at or around the cruise setting. This is normally done for passenger comfort due to the noise with the props full. On a 3-bladed 90 I land at 1900 RPM and 4 blades I land at 2,000. Reason for 2,000 is that a 4-bladed 90 experiences a much bigger blade angle change when you pull to idle and the nose drops from the added drag. 2,000 minimizes this without adding a ton of noise. On a 200 I land at 1,800 rpm.
@blakejennings1179 ай бұрын
@@RunwayHeading Agree with Pilot Dennis on this. Same applies for non turbines like Baron’s, Bonanza’s, etc. If an engine is happy at a high speed cruise setting and can accept full power at that setting without damaging the engine, just leave it.

@RunwayHeading Жыл бұрын
I just learned from doing it in the aircraft since I have access to a lot of king airs. But if you are asking how to prepare outside of the cockpit. Chair flying / going through the checklist steps with a poster/picture of the cockpit in front of you would probably help.
