@@111dcormack That’s another option which he chose not to go with as this setup works for him. Plus just not shown in the video, he does have a tonneau cover which keeps his stuff clear from the elements and from theft. Appreciate your input. Cheers! 🍻

@@Gerry-K Maybe but I also saw a guy on a dirt bike who was speeding away as we were arriving at that area. He actually almost ran in front of my jeep and I had to swerve out of his way. Regardless of who it was, that person should know better.

@kengeroo Oh sorry misread that. Honestly, on a pretty good weather and picking perfect lines, you can make it up there with a 2” lift and 33” tires. Also, there’s bypass you can go around. I would suggest if you’re planning on going with a close to stock vehicle to go with someone that is experienced. Hope that helped man and thank you for watching. 🍻

@@GeefromBC I have a 3.5" lift with the stock 33's.. learned a couple years after the builds that tire size is more important than lift for gfround clearance. :( .. or am I wrong again ? ;)

@@kengeroo I think you’re right in some aspects but I think picking the right line does the job. I’ve seen some guys on 33s do pretty well on some hard trails. Just have to be smart on some obstacles 👍🏽

We went up there last year in our Sahara with 33's Definitely some tight spots and had to pick our line but made it there with just a dent in the exhaust tip lol

@@remyboy5754 I’m not 100% sure but I think you can. Since it’s mounted on a mounting piece but if anything, you can cover parts that you don’t want painted maybe. If you find out, let me know, I might do the same in the future. Cheers!

You've had it 3yrs now. How's the awning hold up to wind, rain etc?

Hey man! It’s actually installed on my buddy’s truck but from what he’s told me and from the times I’ve gone out with him, the awning has been great especially with the weather that we have up here in BC. Wind can be a problem depending on how strong it is. Only couple of downsides are the zipper on the cover isn’t the best and it will take 2 people to properly pack it back in the cover.
