I think it varies a lot by region! I have heard those stories too, but I have had several clients buy with DR Horton and they have not had any issues. For some people it makes sense depending on budget and what size house they need. I do NOT advise looking at their “express” collection… only the “traditions” neighborhoods. That is also why it is important to get your own 3rd party inspections and work with a realtor experienced in new construction. I purchased a DR Horton home in 2022 and have not had any problems. Be sure to get at least one home inspection, especially if you are looking to buy a home that is not already built/completed. I do think a lot of the issue revolves around certain subcontractors not being very dependable. Of course, that could happen with any builder's homes.

Just a model home not actual home u will get. The home u get will not be built with quality. U will pay 250.000 for that home with warranty which doesn’t matter because they deny warranty’s. Or they fix the same as 1st idiots. Buyers beware should be the title

The third story edition with the bathroom will likely be around $58k and this model home also has the addition of the screened in porch which is around $9k in addition to the base price of $599,500! Drees offers a ton of structural options so it is fun to customize! The price of the home also depends on the lot you choose as there are a lot premiums anywhere from $0 to $60k.
