Kramnik ahh argument, but generally speaking how can we be sure one of these wasnt a macro, or even part of a replay wasnt macro? I get that any replay could be macro, but taking LIS, sharing the inputs (which cannot be avoided unless you dont share anything regarding ur run) is just serving macros on a silver plate. May be unpopular opinion but i would be less surprised if a lis replay turns out to be cheated than a non lis one, and i think thats because the chances are much higher. Lis destroys luck maps, or highly unlikely to happen maps. Which is why its so popular, easy fins right? Playing optimally, right? Lets take -150, and apply this argument. I've seen countless people saying that if not for Lis they would never touch the map. Isn't it being extremely lucky the point of -150 tho? I don't get why people act like they needed to fin the map or else they get deported or smth. Like if you dont wanna suffer countless hours on -150 to get a doulbe uber that reaches a fin, okay? Then don't do it. Nobody is forcing you to finish -150. I would argue if your reason is to finish all maps, or just finish -150, LIS didnt do anything else just moved to goalpost closer. If not by time since hitting those inputs precisely isnt easy, but by mentally always saying, once you hit those inputs you fin. Don't get me wrong pasta, or anyone else making LIS strats or using them, I'm "guilty" of this too. It is in the game. If not betta or pasta then someone else will eventually not just theory craft such a way of playing, but try it, spend time on it, be successful with it and we are where we are. It is no ones fault. The argument of it being banned on official leaderboards is stupid in this case, since a kacky wr generally speaking isnt as prestigous as an official map wr, if not for anything else, for how hunted they are, and a lis appearing on a normal map (not looking at you A12) would be so easy to argue its cheated if its like 10 , 12 inputs. But no one can say for sure someone didnt craft a LIS strat with that many inputs and then pulled it off. It was either let all LIS possibly genuine replays in, or let none. They choose the latter, as most systems like this do so. Rather catch some genuine ppls records than let trough cheated ones, since the special thing about the official leaderboard is its presumed integrity. In terms of kacky, I don't have an opinion whether it should be banned or not. It's not for me to say, neither for me to decide. LIS is another way of playing the game. Mainly if we speak about a case where the player found, optimized and then executed those inputs (like pasta in many cases). That is hard work, and well done geeting those runs. -141 uber was so nice to see happen. But i feel like it atleast destroys the spirit of kacky, and thats what bothers me the most usually. I will repeat one of my points here to put emphasis, but if you don't wanna play luck maps for days worth of hours, than some of the maps kacky offers isnt for you. Kacky isnt something you need to finish, is something you choose to finish, mainly for the reason to finish them. I get that its hard for some people to see how I see things, since LIS is not cheating, it's a genuine way of playing, i cant say that enough. I want people to understand im not attacking any LIS players, any LIS makers, just sharing my opinion, since my experience is isolated from how many players get what times on the Kacky Records or Dedi leaderboards. I play for my journey. If I did say stuff about LISsers and LIS ingame its 100% for the memes, or a fragment of this opinion. Maybe sometimes went overboard, not my intention to hurt anyone over this, Im really sorry if i did, it is just a game in the end after all. P.S.: I feel like i need to write this down just to make sure people get that i know pasta is hunting wrs with LIS not just finishing maps. But the existence of LIS strats brings people using LIS just to finish a map inevitably. That said, gg.

This is just one of those things people will have different opinion, while none of those takes are necessarily bad. I am not really familiar how cheated run in tm are usually made, but I can see that lis can be problematic in this regard, since runs look the same. Personally, I just do not see the point of cheating, like you can maybe fool people, but you cannot fool yourself, and there is nothing satisfying about that.

@@anubis_atg Yes, it is cheating. The inputs used in LIS are found by a tool. They justify it not being cheating because technically they are getting the runs by hitting the correct inputs, but they are completely ignoring how they even found the inputs in the first place. It is closer to cheating than actually playing the game.

@@JohnMartinez-mt5jr Trackmania is all about getting the best time on a track using human capabilities. Whether those inputs are found by a tool doesn't matter, since they are doing the inputs themselves.

@@JohnMartinez-mt5jr Inputs are done by a human, but found by a tool. Cuts on maps have been found with TASes before, but they were driven by humans. The tool helps you find the strat, but humans actually do it.
