Rice & peas (Pigeon peas) "More peas than rice! Coconut milk down" with plantin/plantain "those who know how that go" fish swimming in broth/brof (sauce) coleslaw with a finishing touch of Johnny Cake. Just a bit of clarification on the National dish. Otherwise one of the best video documentary of home much appreciated great work.

This ofends Latin Americans. We refuse that U. S. people steal que continent's name and demonym. For 67 % of western hemisphere population, America is one single continent including the lands of Alaska and Greenland until Tierra del Fuego in the southmost point of Chile and Argentina in the Southern Cone, by the Caribbean islands and the Amazon forest. Oh, but, of course, democracy has nothing to do when it's about the whims and plans of the USA. No, it's not about tectonic plaques, it's about politics and power, or else Bharat and neighbours would be considered a continent appart from Asia, as well as New Zealand would figure apart from Australia.

informative documentary film but she mispronounces the name of the capital city. The stress is on the third syllable not the fourth, as it would be if it were derived from Spanish. It is an amerindian word.

Very informative… thank you for your extensive research and dedicated time to create this video… I would have loved it to have been even longer! Patois or Patwah as we call it is not an English based language, it derives from our African descent of the Akan, specifically Ashanti's, (Twi in Ghana and Igbo in Nigeria). Many words in Patwah, Twi and Igbo are the same, though many are not used by younger generations today compared to our grandparents time.

@@socialisttravelagency9336 I would be happy to. My mother is from Scott's Head, which is in the Southern most point. My family has seen many different types of sea animals, such as sharks and whales. Their main exports are bananas and cocoa powder. Dominica has a very lush and fertile landscape for growing fruit and vegetables. I would recommend Dominica to anybody.

I always laugh when someone says Pitch Lake and Trinidad exports asphalt to other countries but have the worst roads in south! Also where’s the love for Trinidad’s contribution to peppers? The Moruga scorpion is not for weak of heart. Nice call out for doubles! Not all doubles are the same. Most everyone gets their doubles up north by Piarco, but doubles in Princestown are my personal favorite. Living in Florida, I’ve had doubles in every place that says they’re Trini. Closest I’ve had to the real thing was in Miami.
