Where do you live? We are in west Texas about an hour west of Abilene. We would love to put something together especially before the first college rodeo. If we can’t do something we probably know someone in your area. PM me if you want to.

@haydenwalters4975 .....thanks for reply. I tripped a few several years ago. However I'd be really interested in trying to get fundamentally correct. Etc....spring would be best or early summer. If you put any clinics...I think you would get a nice turn out. Thank you

Thanks for making these. I’ve always been interested in tripping but never could get anyone to answer questions about it.

What kind of ropes are you guys using? They look softer than a typical team rope? Also what length?

What kind of roping dummy are the boys roping at the start of the video? Do you want to practice on big horns? Little horns? All sizes? Probably not very likely to draw steers with big horns at steer ropings? Thank you for your effort making the videos!!
@haydenwalters4975 Жыл бұрын
The dummy is a Bones by Heelomatic. I like very much. The ability to change the horn size and position is nice. That being said any dummy with medium to large sized horns is preferable as long as the dummy is solid and won’t move with contact from the rope. Most cattle at ropings are medium to large horned. Thanks for watching.

Hope you keep making more on Tripping also let us know what kind of rope do trippers use thanks again

More to come! My preference on ropes was always a straight poly 3 strand, 10.7 treated, the more treat the better. I always liked Willard’s and Kings. We will try talk about ropes and strings in an upcoming video.
