Why was this not recovered immediately after the collision? Why were the police not in attendance? As failing to report a collision especially an overturning is a serious offence as leaving this unattended in a public place is highly dangerous as fuel & other toxic substances will be leaking which could cause an enviormental hazard not to mention the fire risk caused by the exposure of dangerous parts (which are normally invisible over the ground) to sunlight or other ignition sources as this vehicle had no protective sheathing under the engine to conceal all the dangerous parts which is a legal requirement on all new cars?

I live in rural Scotland and the Police will only attend normally if the individual is badly injured or if the vehicle is blocking the road. I worked on recovery for the police for many years and they only ever had accidents removed straight away if they were on the road, likely to cause another accident, crime related or fatal/serous injuries. Cars sit in fields etc for weeks and months sometimes here and like I said police aren't interested unless it's a crime, injury, blocking the road and so on. We've had a couple of cars go on fire while recovering but usually promptly dealt with remove leads from battery and fire extinguisher

I passed this yesterday. The canopy and building have been cleared, and cordoned off with security fencing, but the signboard with the fuel prices still remains. It's been like that for the past two years. I used the place for decades before it closed. Great stop for a breakfast, a newspaper, chocs and 20 B&H.
