I’m sure you’ve seen those KZbin videos where they put rubber band between head of the screw the screwdriver to help get some traction. Another idea, and this may be way too aggressive, but there’s always the option of using a screw extractor. You know the screw that you drill into the screw, where the threads spin in the opposite direction. Sorry man! Let me know how it goes!
@ItzJasonJustin
@ItzJasonJustin 3 күн бұрын
@@sciencebygabrawyyes I have tried the rubber band and that didn’t work and well the part where you screw a hole in the screw doesn’t work for some reason I’m not sure why I used a corded drill and it’s powerful so I’m not sure😢

It’s done the same way. Normally the mirror bell should be very snug in place by cogs that fit tightly with the shaft. If you are having trouble getting it off, I wonder if that’s even the problem?!?

@@sciencebygabrawy I just went ahead and tried the epoxy method. The super glue stuck the plastic back together and I have placed the axis hinge back into the arm in its original position. Have flown the drone once without issue however I believe if I pull that arm in the wrong direction when folding it out then it will likely break the axis far more easily again. In summary the epoxy method works but I dont trust it long term so I have ordered a replacement piece anyway in case.

What would you recommend of one of the screws is stripped
@sciencebygabrawy
@sciencebygabrawy 22 күн бұрын
Well, if it were my drone I’d epoxy the head of my screwdriver to the head of the screw. Then wait 24 hours. Then I would spray a very small amount of WD40 or lithium grease down the threads. Then I’d try backing off the screw. I don’t know if you have a better idea but anyway good luck!

If you’re using the correct size Phillips screwdriver, and the head isn’t stripped, then maybe they just overtightened the screws in which case maybe just drop a drop of lithium grease or WD-40 and see between the threads. That’s just very strange to me but I can’t think of any other reason that the screws won’t come out.

I’ll tell you but please use ultimate caution and precision. Use the smallest finest punch and punch a dent in the center. Drill with the absolute skinniest drill bit you can find down as far as the screw goes. Drop a drop off lithium grease to loosen. Put the punch back in and gently wiggle it out. Good luck.

Thank you for sharing. As a longtime vegan, I agree wth your information. I am so very grateful I stopped eating cadavers, dairy, eggs, fishes, etcetera. They make our pH acidic, are difficult to try to digest, steal our energy, make us smell, and kill innocent lives. If we cannot kill the animal with our bare hands, we should not consume it. Its' too convenient to let some immigrant in a slaughterhouse to kill all day long for our "meals". NOT a happy job.

Great instructional video, I just have one question: if the broken arm isn't lighting up and calibrating upon startup (like the other 3 do) does this mean that I also have damage with the wires as well? Or will replacing the shaft acid hinge fix this issue? My arm is hanging out more than the damaged one in the video.

Thank you sir! So unfortunately, it sounds like you got a wire issue at hand. There’s always a chance that you could repair the cut wire without having to pull apart all the body shell pieces but if you do have to remove more, I would write down the steps you take being your first time so you don’t forget anything! Btw new arms come with new wires and they’re about $100. Good luck!
