Rovaniemi vs Levi ski town, which area do you highly recommend
@cluuelessdays9 күн бұрын
Rovaniemi is a popular tourist area so if you’re going to Finland can’t miss saying hi to an official Santa Claus 🤣 We didn’t explore much of the ski area in Levi ski town as we spent most of it on other activities. If you like snowboarding or skiing then highly consider Levi!

Thanks for sharing! Is it easy to access to nearby restaurants and groceries ? Wondering if we should book the accommodation with meals package / activities together in advance? Any tips ;) 😊
@cluuelessdays6 күн бұрын
Depends on where you stay! We stayed a bit further from town and had to take uber everywhere we go which was not very convenient. If you’re staying in town itself, then food is quite easy but for activities, I recommend to book in advanced preferably with pick up and drop off options :)

Do you highly recommend this hotel? Worth the splurge? 😊

I think this hotel so-so only… Might have to do more research to see if there are better ones!

Hihi! Great vlog!!! 😍Which part of lapland do u highly recommend? Levi ski town or rovaniemi?
@cluuelessdays9 күн бұрын
Hi! Thank you 🥹🥹 I’d say Levi ski town is really more for skiing, if you don’t ski there’s really not much to do since all the activities Rovaniemi also have. Rovaniemi is famous for Santa Claus Village which in my opinion, must go haha

Do you think it’s worth to book an aurora tour?
@cluuelessdays9 күн бұрын
Hello! Yes but depends on the area you’re in. We didn’t managed to see northern lights during our aurora tour in Rovaniemi but we saw amazing ones in Saariselkä during the tour there 🤩
@imronaldlee59149 күн бұрын
I see, thanks for the info! May I ask what do you actually do during the aurora tour? Seems like it’s like a hike
@cluuelessdays9 күн бұрын
For the aurora photography tour in Rovaniemi, the guide drove us out to certain spots to try and catch aurora based on some map he has. He also has professional camera set up which he will send pictures after the tour. The tour ended with a mini hike to a tent to enjoy campfire, barbecuing sausages then headed back to the drop off point.

Can you provide tips of layering? I see you both not wearing that much compare to when you both in Levi. We are heading to there end of this year, still no clue on wat to wear…. 😅
@cluuelessdaysАй бұрын
Hi! Sure, this was also our first trip to Finland so I watched KZbin videos on what to wear for cold weather. Most important is the ultrawarm heattech, we usually do 3 or 4 layers depending on how cold it is. Heattech > sweater > puffy zip up jacket (optional if not too cold) > thick coat. For pants, just 2 layers will do. What helped a lot is scarf or balaclava, hats, gloves very important. We also had toe warmers and hand warmers we put into our coat pockets which helped us when we were outside doing activities especially the reindeer sleigh in vlog ep 1. We went from the coldest areas (kakslauttanen resort) back to the city so our body adjusted quite well along the way! haha have so much fun and enjoy yourself!!

Is there an issue with being too warm when being indoors there with ultra warm heat tech? Say for example when walking from outdoors into a cafe/restaurant for a meal. Oh subscribed!
@cluuelessdays9 күн бұрын
@@thesololady Thanks for subscribing 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼 No issues with ultra warm heat tech, usually taking off your coat and scarf will be fine, leaving just the UW heat tech and a sweater :)
@thesololady8 күн бұрын
@@cluuelessdays Thanks! ahhh transiting fresh from outdoors to indoors still need 2 layers inclusive of UW! I hope its better when staying indoors for a prolong time (eg end of day in hotel room).

Cool to see another Singaporean’s view on Helsinki haha. By the way the tram ticket is not 3€ one way, it’s 3€ for 80 minutes and you can use trams/metros or buses as many times as you want so it’s good if you plan it in a way where you can do 2 or more trips within 80 minutes!

Hi Amy, I showed them my driving license which is in english. You can double check with the tour that you booked with to confirm whether you will require an international driving license for snowmobile :)

Don't pay any extra tips for transport in Finland, all is included in the pre-arranged price of transport, assuming it didn't take you like 30min+ to haul the luggage. If you call up taxi without pre-arranged price or so, then they have charge for waiting too, so it's not required in that case either. Tipping is only if you think you received service above and beyond good. While you cannot call it scamming as tips are volunteered, the driver certainly was acting badly and no finn would pay such extra tip. Also, don't worry about the husky sledding, huskies love running, they have massive amounts of energy and issue with huskies is usually them not getting enough exercise rather than they having issues running with people around.
