I stopped watching and unsubscribed as soon as Callie got fired, i refused to support a platform that fires because of sexuality, and i know a lot of people dont believe this is how it went but no one has mentioned any other good reason for the firing, so this is the only conclusion i could come up with.

Now looking back at the TKOR channel they can bearly reach over 50k views per video other than some random ones reaching over 100k, one of them being a redo of Grants blowgun video.I see a great passionate area of content falling to its doom but hopingly keeping my eye on Nates cannel as he seems to be building a new channel from ground up.

It's pretty much Common Sense out why all the views filled cuz every other host that has been on the KZbin channel and that has tried to take an over for the original Star is complete terrible and just doesn't have the action or camera face that Grant had just his voice alone in the videos made them 10 times better I'm sorry but I quit watching that KZbin channel specifically because all the other hosts are completely terrible and I mean completely terrible at doing the science hosting talking everything and all of the above

Personally for me... I stopped watching because of the girl host. (I think it is his daughter) Nate was awesome.. Kelly grew on me after a few episodes.. (Yes, I could not stand Kelly in the beginning, but 2-3 episodes and I enjoyed her work/contribution). Kelly's replacement (She had/has purple hair or pink or something) I could not handel. She was "acting" like "I'm untouchable god like status" I gave it a solid 8-10 videos but I could not. Since she came along the content "suck balls". There were more "cheap" content.. It became all boring since she arrived. I recently watch a random video.. They used eggs to see which teeth whiting works best.. Basically for me... I stopped watching because of her.. ("Kelly's replacement girl")

I don't think it had anything to do with the KZbin algorithm. I stopped watching because after Grant passed it turned into a bunch of silly shit that can't be called science or even learning. They defintiely weren't making cool shit anymore. Like instead of a video about how to do or make something cool we got videos like 'can you clear snow with a blow torch?'. Just stupid shit that most people already know the answer to.

Tkor was the one reason I came to love science. When I was 8-9 I adored just coming home and just watching experiment after experiment that were all so fascinating with a slight violent undertone😅. After Grant's passing Nate and Callie were just trying to keep the channel together but the moment it went from melting galium to melting lollipops we could tell it was heading south. Looking at the channel right now all the thumbnails look a lot more childish started kinda alienating og viewers. We understand that change can be necessary but what they have done thus far is just vile. The biggest mistake was getting rid of nate and callie. The moment Callie left it was no longer the king of random it was the villagers of random. Overall the channel is a lost cause and just went from "look at the science" to "oooo pretty colors"

I stopped watching when Nate and Callie left. I’m sure Grace is a great person, but she didn’t have the “tv personality” that Callie and Nate had. To me, her passion just didn’t come through in the videos. Callie was like a kid in a candy store and it was so entertaining to watch. Again, absolutely no hate toward Grace, but she just wasn’t it for me. It’s so sad to see that even with the return of the channel towards its original content, the channel views have almost died off

It is basically dead now, with videos barely getting over 40k views. Like it's not financially stable anymore.

Because when Grant (rip) handled it, it was about science and doing really cool stuff. When he sadly passed they still did science and cool stuff but started adding in obviously sponsored content trying to hide it as science, in the end its pretty much just a long version of dumb tiktoks now.

The probably was steering away from more industrial and engineering based projects, and even when grants projects were simpler he used those simple concepts and explained how they can be used in various contexts I’m excited for their new host, he doesn’t seem as afraid to get his hands dirty with scarier types of projects, Nate and Callie were great but the content they were hosting just wasn’t for me, hoping this new era of TKOR that seems to be coming into shape will take elements from the entire history of the channel and do great things in honor of a great man

dont need to watch this video and it doesnt need to be 16 minutes. the views fell because nate and callie were fired. they were popular, they were hired by grant (may he rest in peace) and his wife decided she wanted to cut them for a more annoying host (grace).

My theory is that it will come to the point where the TKOR channels get deleted permanently, however, the videos that are actually good and memorable will stay and the 5-minute-crafts-based videos will be deleted. These non-deleted videos may be transferred to another source as an archive. Any videos that Grant, his wife, Nate, and Callie are in, will be kept. Any other person in those videos will be excluded.

That was really cool, I'm considering doing something similar to this next summer. Were there any unexpected problems? And would you actually recommend doing it?
@notthomasjoel11 ай бұрын
There were quite a lot of problems during the tour, but in the end it was all worth it. But travelling on a bicycle isn't for everyone. It's physically and mentally hard. Also getting the needed gear costed me around 1600€. For me, it was all worth it, but I recommend firstly going for a smaller tour to find out if you actually like this way of travelling.
@j3tus1511 ай бұрын
@@notthomasjoelI know it isn't for everyone, but I think I might enjoy it because I really like camping and exploring new places but walking around is extremely slow and exploring really random and unique places is harder to do by car/public transport. And I'll go on a few day trip with the stuff I already have these summer holidays, I'll just bike around Czechia (where I'm from:D) Also I know the gear isn't cheap, especially a good bike
@niclas965111 ай бұрын
The Czech Republic is a good place to start. If you notice that you like bicycle touring I'd recommend Hungary or Slovenia, as you don't need to worry about dogs and you can camp basically anywhere thoughtfree. Perfect for beginners in my opinion :)

A lot of people are missing Nate and Callie and I get that completely, but I personally stopped watching after Grant's death because the style of the videos shifted from "let's make an Arc furnace" to "what happens if I put a piece of coal into freezer ". I would say that Nate returned to the old style of videos to a certain extent on his new ytb channel, but it just doesn't feel the same.
@darkaxel1991 Жыл бұрын
Grant always struck me as someone who succeeded in just about everything he did. It's a shame that success on KZbin meant chasing views, though, because it really killed the soul of the channel IMHO. To be clear, for me, the decline started before Nate was brought on board, and I could tell that Grant was burning out.

I can only speak for myself but I stopped watching when it went from “look at this cool thing, now I’m going to tell you how you can do it and why it happens that way” and changed to “smile, candy, improvised fidget toy!” To prove my point one of their most recent videos is titled “what is the most lickable surface in NYC” the video in question is a month old and hasn’t even hit 25k so while your prediction is that it will stop posting is close drawing (I’m posting on the 6th of jan) I think it safe to say your right while not officially “dead” it’s not going to come back from this, what a sad way to end grants legacy….

I shopped watching KOR videos when they started doing the "we are going to put pixie sticks in a cotton candy machine to see what happens" and soon after unsubscribed. They need to create a KOR classic channel and just put all the Grant videos on it so they are easier to find.
