All units that are still in service: 507001, 507003, 507007, 507010, 507016, 507017, 507018, 507023, 507029 All the rest of the 507s and 508s are withdrawn and scrapped and 507028 is sat at Aintree fire station. Rumours has it that three units are due to be withdrawn by the end of August and the rest by September.

I like the way that Ormskirk's only platform is numbered. Reassuringly, it's 1.

Ormskirk is only one platform however it is split into two. For Merseyrail Trains it is marked as Platform 1 towards Liverpool. Platform 2 is beyond the buffers at the other end for trains to Preston. Weird that they didn't split it into A and B rather than displaying them as two separate platforms when they aren't.

Edit: I made a mistake saying that there were 12 Class 507s left when there were actually 9 of them left. I may find a way to change it, and the video may be reuploaded to fix this problem

That's a rare allocation! I need to ride a 507 on the Ormskirk line. Have you noticed any particular 507 allocations?

As far as I know the last time a 507 was on Ormskirk was last week on the 13th March, which is when this video was recorded. I've seen none on this line since then. As more 777s are arriving at Kirkdale, I doubt there will be anymore 507 replacements for Ormskirk and certainly no chance Kirkby 507 replacements. Southport is nearly all fully 4 car 777s on weekdays. Last rare occurrence I have seen on the Wirral Line was 017 and another one (which I forgot the number) at West Kirby in the sidings. Nothing has been on Chester and Ellesmere Port for the past few weeks. New Brighton is obviously still 3/4 trains that are 507s.

They didn't really care that I was filming. Only one staff member for TfW did question why I was filming but he was ok with it.

I was on 508 104 for most of the afternoon right up until the very end there and I saw you and lots of others out for the final day… I was towards the end of the platform when she left New Brighton for the last time…. Epic day but a sad one too
