This video was kind of pointless. How did it get a million plus views???

Very informative! It could be the gel they use. Most braiders do the two strand method. I don't like jam gel. It makes the hair to slippery and my braids end up falling out from not be able to grip the roots. I like using gels that's made like edge control. Hope this help someone! 😍😍😍

It's very confusing. I think it's a good guide but it's not a hard/fast rule. I have multi-texture hair. I have everything from 1-4, but mostly 3/4; all of those alphas mean nothing for me. My hair is medium density, high porosity, and thrives in humid weather.

I'm one of those people whose hair is so low density you can see my scalp all the time but it is what it is 😂. I have a nice mole at the crown of my head that I get to show off though

This is not really accurate for you to say you have 4c or even 4a hair and then for your hair to be styled the way it is for the video. Your hair style wouldn’t even be possible without a perm if you had a 4c hair type. 4c hair type is really tight coils, the coils are so tight that they aren’t really visible as curls even with loads of product in your hair. You have 3b 3c curls. 3b-4c is Afro textured, meaning it grows like an Afro. Once water and conditioner is added to the hair, the true curl pattern of the hair is revealed. You can then add products like gel and curl cream to keep your curl pattern showing. Everyone with Afro textured hair looks 4c when their hair is dry with no product in it, because Afro textured hair needs moisture and hydration in order for the true curl pattern to show. Your hair is not 4c.

In the 90s, I think my braider did this technique on purpose for easy take down; that's fine for longer hair, but if your hair is short, you're just gonna lose braids

Thorough explanation of the problem and the solution; close-up shots... Thank you!!! Hi many other videos and posts just saying "do it tighter", "do knotless", "don't blow dry", "go to a different stylist" .... 🤦🏾♀️ I *am* my own stylist 😂 This is very helpful!
