I'm guilty of this too. Please forgive me, Lord. I didn't take anyone seriously when they said I could become and alcoholic. It wasn't something I thought would ever happen but I am guilty of so many verbal attacks and vitriol against people I love because when I am drunk I become angry and belligerent. When I'm sober, I'm usually fine. Not perfect by any means, but I was diagnosed with Bi-polar 2 and BPD recently so, the alcohol makes it worse. There is a reason alcohol is called "spirits". Even though I still believe I'm too far gone, I pray every day that God gives me the strength and the wisdom to do what's best for me instead of engaging in self-destructive behavior. I need his grace and mercy and forgiveness. I am afraid maybe I am a reprobate after doing these things, getting drunk and taking my anger out on others. It's a vicious cycle that only I can break, with the help of Jesus.
