As for the length, I personally don’t like long videos where the creator repeats the same points multiple times, so I try to keep mine shorter and focused on what I believe is most important.

I'm glad you enjoyed my video! I've been playing since June 18, so I've had time to learn the skills, although progress is much faster now. I don't consider my skills to be high because I mostly focused on what I enjoy rather than what maximizes efficiency. In my opinion, the key to learning skills in Pax Dei is knowing what you want to achieve, finding the right location for that activity, and enjoying what you do.

@@watsinhorde I forgot one important thing-organization. Everything will be useful at some point, so decorated chests will be your best friend. They have the best size-to-capacity ratio and are easy to craft. In the house I use as my main base, I have around 500 of these chests where I store everything I find or craft. Thanks to that, when I reach a higher level in a skill, I don’t have to waste time looking for materials-I already have them.

I don't know how many FPS I get-I’ve never checked. I’m using a laptop with a 1060 GPU, so the processor isn’t exactly new either. The game slows down a lot in densely built areas, but outside of them, it runs fine. Besides the graphics card, having enough RAM and an SSD instead of a traditional hard drive is crucial.

I see what you mean. I also have little time during the week, which makes even an hour of gaming challenging. With more time, you can achieve much more and faster, but what's the rush? Pax Dei isn't a competition. Play at your own pace and enjoy life in the world of Pax Dei.

Thank you for the compliment, though I don’t feel I deserve it. As you explore the world, you can see plenty of truly beautiful structures. My goal, however, has never been to create aesthetically pleasing buildings. I’ve always focused on making the most efficient use of a single plot of land. That’s why my bases tend to be rather plain, but they’re equipped to handle the production of everything possible and provide storage for a large number of items. Through this approach, I aim to demonstrate that you don’t need multiple plots to play effectively. As for your question, there isn’t a straightforward answer. Building a simple base like mine is relatively easy. Creating a stunning base that everyone admires is much harder and requires a lot of practice. Building also requires materials and skills. When you first create a character, you’ll only be able to construct basic elements, like stone foundations or branch walls. To build more advanced components, your character will need to level up carpentry. A simple wall doesn’t require much in terms of materials, but the more complex the structure, the more advanced materials you’ll need. In my opinion, there’s no other MMO that offers the same level of creative freedom in building as Pax Dei. Thank you so much! As for your question, I’ve played a lot of other MMOs. I talked a bit about that in the first video of this playlist. I also have a key for Ashes of Creation. However, I got bored of AoC relatively quickly, though I wouldn’t rule out returning to it at some point to see how development is progressing. When I do, I’ll definitely share some gameplay footage so others can see how the game has evolved. Right now, I’m only playing Pax Dei, which still brings me a lot of joy. If I had more free time and a better PC, I might explore other games. But as long as Pax Dei continues to be so enjoyable for me, I don’t feel motivated to look elsewhere.

Why do you think the game will be DOA? In my opinion, Pax Dei has immense potential and can become a fantastic game. We just need to be patient while the developers deliver on their promises. I know their progress is painfully slow, and their communication with players is terrible, but the game is steadily growing, and more people are playing it despite its current shortcomings. Right now, Pax Dei is in early access and requires a one-time payment, so I think there’s no point worrying about a subscription model after launch. The real question for today is whether the game’s current state is acceptable for you or if it’s better to wait for later development stages. Even if a subscription does come, I’d much prefer a flat subscription fee over a cash shop with loot boxes, resources, gear, experience points, and so on.

@LatoTheMMOVeteran maybe DOA is a bit extreme just what me and some friends were talking about. The game looks amazing and I'm interested but not for a monthly fee. I just feel it'll be a very niche game due to the monthly subscription.

The game has ambitions to be a true sandbox, but for the majority of players, sandbox games are too slow-paced and lack the excitement they’re looking for. If there’s a monthly subscription, it could certainly pose a barrier, but I still believe that a subscription model is a better solution than a shop filled with resources, items, and XP boosts. There’s also been talk of tying subscription costs to the number of plots a player owns. If this idea gains traction, it could lead to an option to play for free by giving up plot ownership. Considering that a single plot can provide space for multiple players, this could be a workable solution for many. That said, all of this is pure speculation without any concrete basis. For now, I can only repeat that it’s not worth worrying about potential future fees. The current model requires a one-time payment for early access. Early access will last at least another six months, and I’m betting it will be extended by additional months or even years. If someone enjoys the game in its current form, I see no reason to wait to buy it. Conversely, if someone doesn’t like Pax Dei, it doesn’t matter whether there will be ongoing fees or not.

Idk if free to play would be good idea definitely understand buying the game. Definitely agree on the XP boost and such shouldn't be sold. Maybe cosmetics could be a source of income?
