NASCAR wants to bring the Cup series to Mexico. Fix this place up and race here instead on a road course.

I used to live in Pasadena in the 2000s. I went to Irwindale often. I like the amateur stocks, legends, and modifieds. But these lower level NASCAR races were boring. The cars were too evenly matched. Not much passing with cars that all run nearly exactly the same. Passes only seem to happen by diving at someones rear fender in a turn. The progressive banking was supposed to allow for three wide racing and three wide passing. But that didnt last very long. The amateur racing at lower levels was better because there were cars of all different quality levels, which makes it possible to pass and/or block. One exception was a NASCAR truck race. The field was deep with a lot of entries. That was almost as good as a Bristol race.

I was there in 2019, and its just amazing. The sound of an old carby V8 like in the 80's, the smell and the while experience was just amazing. And you have all the other series racing before, and all that for 80$Cad(in 2019).
