This video has some extremely important maintenance tips in it. I have hired a professional plumber on two occasions and both used the Milwaukee 2674-22P which is the awesome short throw PEX press tool with Viega Pure Flow jaws. Both those tools I got to handle and both press tools and their jaws have not seen a drop of oil or a swab of grease in years. Both were screaming to be greased made obvious by the noise during use. I get more and more convinced every day that 99 out of 100 professional plumbers do absolutely nothing, and I repeat nothing...that takes any extra work. As they say....."to each his own".... Oh...and to see a plumber actually use the included GO NO-GO gauge, never have I seen one used. They just don't care.

Threaded and welded pipes and way better then press. Theres always gonna be a sacrafice thats life. People like the press cause its easy but at the end of the day some spots you just cant get a machine in and youre forced to solder.

Fancy and all but I want a manufacturer to invent a cheap and fast PEX connection that doesn't reduce inside pipe diameter and flow instead of just reinventing what brass fittings and crimp rings do for much cheaper.

Just a heads up, rehau pex now has longer lasting uv exposure ratings. I think it’s up to 1 year

Can you use a mega press Gas fitting on a water system if you are in a pinch ?

propress is great and all, but you cant take it apart. pros and cons to every method

I hate to be the one to break the bad news to you, but at 1:41 you can see where your mark does not match where it was when you first inserted the pipe and marked it. The pipe is not fully inserted.
