If you're working with microcontrollers, this transmitter and receiver setup should work fine. To answer your question, you just need to adjust the values of the passive components for the transmitter. For the receiver, if you're looking at speeds above 5Mbaud, you'll want to swap out the HFBR-2412 with another model like the 2416. Check out Broadcom's Applications Support Guide for all the configuration details you need.

First of all, thank you for this assistance. Helped us out here. But when it comes to the simulation in Proteus 8, there are some errors that spring out: "Cannot find model ENC28J60.MDF" and "Simulation FAILED due to netlist linker error(s). And "Pin CS, SI, SO, SCK, RESET, INT, CLKOUT are not modeled." So I was wondering if you could help us or even encountered a problem like this before. The reason you are facing this issue is that Proteus can't find the model file for the ENC28J0 module. The library model comes with a folder named "MODEL" containing the MDF file. Have you placed this file in the Proteus Model folder?

Proteus does not currently support the simulation of web-based models. However, you can simulate the ESP8266, which is already provided by default in Proteus, using the IoT framework. Alternatively, you can use the ENC28J60 Module in Proteus for creating web server-based projects.

Currently, I'm working on some of these models, so they will be available after complete development. For IoT projects, you can utilize the default Proteus ESP8266 model, or alternatively, you can employ ENC28J60 Modules for web server projects in Proteus.

what is the capacity of the Ethernet::Buffer ? I tried for HTML 10546 characters web browser just loading on the hardware I use W5100, and it runs smoothly because Proteus doesn't have a library, I simulated it using enc28j60

please read the Ethercard Library Requirements "Depending on the size of the buffer for packets, this library uses about 1k of Arduino RAM. Large strings and other global variables can easily push the limits of smaller microcontrollers"

I have provided the receiver schematic in parts 4 and 5. All you need to do is connect the TTL data out pin to the Arduino RX pin. As for the usage of the LCD, I assume Arduino users already know how to use it because it's a basic thing.

Currently, this is not possible because the ENC28J60 is an Ethernet module designed to work with a network card. However, if I discover a way to achieve this functionality, I will definitely inform you.

If you want to use the SPI interface, you will have to use the number of optical transmitters/receivers and optical fiber cables accordingly to the SPI lines. This is because it requires more signal lines (wires) than other communication methods. Essentially, you have to convert every electrical signal line to a light signal and then convert these light signals back to electrical signals. Therefore, this approach may not be suitable.

The only problem I see here is the price and availability of TX diode HFBR-1414Z and RX photodiode HFBR-2412Z. Currently, prices for these components are around $50. However, the video is very interesting!

The prices I found range from 7 to 10 dollars for each module, while some sites offer them at 20 to 28 dollars. If you find any, you can use any TTL-compatible modules according to their data sheets.
