The Baywalk area? Have you tried the beach Ancol area, it's near the Kota Tua train station. It's way wayy better there in comparison in my humble opinion.

the air quality is so unhealthy in Jakarta!! many usa cities too, but man, my lungs were burning from just one day walking around town and "Malling" later... back in 2004....i can t believe 20 yrs have transpired...
