This is a great idea to have this type of relaxing nature sound ambience with realtime painting (and dog shots!). Well done!

Beautifully rendered - the care and patience taken shows in the lovely result (looks splendid in that frame!). Congratulations! I have great appreciation for Delftware, my mother has a vintage tea-set collection that has inspired several still-life compositions. Delft tiles are something I know less of, and it was fascinating to see this work unfold. Did you use an original Delft design for it, or is it your own?

Thank you for posting this video, it was really well-thought-out and succinct. I have started many businesses or creative adventures like yourself, usually, I keep the same Etsy shop and just change the name though 🤣 But it was really good to see what your biz made in the first month and to hear your strategy for the up-coming months, will be subscribing to see future updates!

I really enjoyed watching your video because I've just launched my jewellery business and it feels really nice to get realistic perspective from someone else with a budding creative business. It can definitely feel like you should have everything figured out on day one, that you need to go from 0 to tens of thousands of followers and be selling out. Those are of course ridiculously impossible standards to set for yourself. So I'm also trying to take it easy, be mindful and enjoy each step of the process - while also taking time to rest and reflect when I need to. (Which I have done for several weeks now after launching lol).

I originally clicked on this video with the thought in the back of my mind "I really hope this doesn't make me feel bad about my own art sales." And you opened by telling me exactly what I needed to hear. So thank you for being real and honest ❤

That was a detailed and very fascinating insight you presented regarding your Art business venture. It is almost bewildering at how many threads need to be held regarding the reaching of the right contacts/audience/market, the time spent on these matters - and all this above the actual creating of the artworks in question itself! Truly a balancing act. I am greatly looking forward to the video regarding the completed artwork Fox and Crow. A possible reason as to why your long YT video was a success is (from my viewpoint) that actual artists themselves were watching it in order to better understand your art. I know I did. I wanted to understand the concept, technique, colour harmony, theme, ideas etc. Always one wishes to learn about other's approaches to their art - and this CANNOT be attained with shorter videos. Thank you for uploading this one, I learnt a LOT from it - and wish you success in achieving your set goals. Remember: it is always the ART that counts, and that it give one an inner satisfaction. The rest must be separated from this and placed under the 'business as usual' compartment! 🙂🖌🎨

Beautiful, like a Naturalist study. What are the parameters of this delightful composition?
@melodies_are_alive4 ай бұрын
Beautifully rendered watercolour. Is this composition in the end going to have a symbolic meaning behind the actual 'Fox and Crow' title? I write this because symbolically: Fox - adaptability, Crow - intelligence, Foxglove - secrets.

This is from a larger series of Fable-inspired illustrations! I initially started this series years ago and planned to depict every Fable with moral about trust. These have taken on a different meaning for me over the years though

You analyse and break down the theme into their different components so well. Very logical, clear and it doesn't shy away from the more 'material/objective' (thus at times stressful whether one likes it or not) aspects that must be taken into account - especially if one wishes to create an Art business (the timestamps in the video are excellent!). It is ironical in these times that never has it been more easier to connect to the World, only to be lost in sheer numbers. I think it is much more difficult to prevail now as an Artist then but 50 years ago. But your motto 'live slowly, create meaningfully, and produce ethically' appeals greatly - is almost a mantra mindset and perhaps can help one find the oh-so-thin middle road of being able to live and provide for the day to day necessities... while at the same time nurture that artistical gift bestowed upon them by the Procreator/Evolutionary process (take your pick - both ends of the poles are valid). I am looking forward to your next video (having first viewed your previous ones to understand the channel's atmosphere). It is enjoyable to watch a more classical approach to Art - and the attention to detail you put into creating them (many viewpoint settings are material for paintings themselves - I am sure this was intentional). Your Jack Russel Terrier (2:50) is delightful(!) and would make a splendid model for a study in the style of Hogarth.

Thank you so much for this thoughtful comment! I love your point about it being easier than ever to connect with the world (and you're right, I think more and more of us are feeling lost and disconnected despite that). I truly believe that slowing down and finding authentic connection and community is the solution to so many problems we face, not only as artists but as humans!
