Where did you get your replacement parts? And or what part kit did you use and where do you get them? Thx

I bought them off Amazon. Mind you it is harder to find 7 1/2" brakes. I think I had like one choice. Husky 30789 and 30788. one was left, one was right

I wish I could take credit for it. That is what is great about the scamp trailer. It is small but can sleep up to 4 in this layout :)

Amazing remodel! Do you have a cost estimate for the remodel?

hmm, I had an extensive list at one time, no clue where it went. So rough numbers....I bought a lot of marketplace and craiglist parts, reusing parts, and I used the marine paint I had left from my last trailer remodel, only adding a bit more. Honestly the Epoxy 2 Part paint could be the biggest price tag. I bet I would have spent 2K USD on all the needed paint and supplies. As for things like the appliances, interior paint, flooring, electrical, plumbing, and awning, I'd ratchet that up another 1500 (very rounded numbers.) I paid 2500 on the trailer itself... lets toss in another 200 for mini stuff, then license/registration 100-ish cause it is a 1979 trailer. Recap, 3800 or so for things and 2500 for trailer. I am probably missing stuff. Now, if I had not changed so much on this trailer, it probably would have been cheaper. Painting interior cabinets being a good example.

Thanks! Yeah, I bought it from a guy gutting a food truck. He did not know much about it. But after reading the model on the back and scouring the internet, I found it is some Aliexpress generic thing called a BC-50 from a company called Juka. It is 60w 12v dc with calculations of 5amp draw. Pretty sure it is a mere 1.5 cu ft. Not gonna say it is the most energy efficient thing, but for 60$ used it has lasted pretty good. Not sure this is the best link for it, and to be honest, I think there are some stateside that are probably better: www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805087445684.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.39.61062b36QhxfzD&algo_pvid=bef3b282-c295-4ca8-a851-e5a72280497b&algo_exp_id=bef3b282-c295-4ca8-a851-e5a72280497b-19&pdp_npi=4%40dis%21USD%21244.10%21244.10%21%21%211746.05%211746.05%21%402101e9d117060477251901979e599c%2112000032443390386%21sea%21US%210%21AB&curPageLogUid=2djD1FVdFn5w&utparam-url=scene%3Asearch%7Cquery_from%3A

I want to paint my '85 in red! I'm in Longmont... want a roll on deal like you but I don't have a garage to fir my AC unit on roof.
@Funkgun
@Funkgun Жыл бұрын
A garage is more ideal. You can remove the AC. It is 4 bolts that holt it in after removing the shroud. That, OR look up Westcoast Johnny and his remodel using roll tip and spray on bottom paint. He did his all outside.

Previous owner of my 13' Burro added an AC like yours. It's in the front between the seats of what was a dinette. Tiny space, so this unit cools it down easily. Here's the problem: the heat generated is absorbed into the front wall of the camper and radiates back into the space. Thus, the AC is constantly cycling and it's just too noisy for sleeping. I added fans to its vent to try to move the air out of the exhaust chamber but that seems not to have much impact. I only noticed this when I was lounging in that area and realized that my left shoulder was blazing hot!!! lol. I think I may pursue the Wave2 from Ecoflow...

Yeah, the good thing about the size of my vent, it does allow a lot more heat out. I was actually thinking of moving to 7000 btu that I found cheap.

hehe, well somone I know wanted to see this. I had not seen it. I think I found it on here now. I never uploaded anything before now, so I was not sure how to do keywords and such. It really is just a so-so slo-mo vid, but I dug the Ian Brown song.
