Hi. Why is it that no rv fireplace shuts off with the thermostat. Is it because it's cold as he'll in winter and the thermostat is close to the floor. What's your opinion? I've owned 2 and they NEVER shut off. They can put a man on the moon but can't get a rv fireplace to shut off In thermostat mode.

The only thing I would add is adding loctite to the bolts, as the nuts are not nylocks.

Whats the ride quality like when using chains? I have chains but Ive never used them. It doesnt snow here that often but I’m taking a trip. Second question, if you have a part time 4x4, should the chains be on the front or rear? Thanks man and great video.

I have the same steps, slightly different width. Problem with mine is, though the steps are aluminum, the black supporting metal is not. Paint chipping away particularly in front of the plate right at the door, starting to rust.

That comes directly from the owner's manual, which states that only Class S chains can be used on 225/65R17, or 225/60R18 all season tires. It doesn't recommend using chains/cables on 235/65R17 tires. It goes on to say that due to limited clearance between the inside of the wheels and brake/suspension components, chain/cables should only be used on the rear wheels. www.etrailer.com/Tire-Chains/Konig/TH01571245.html

Can a roof box be mounted on the platform?

Unfortunately, Yakima tells us that their LockNLoad platform isn't intended for use with a cargo box, as there is no safe way to attach the box to the platform. Your best bet would be to attach the box directly to the vehicle's crossbars. www.etrailer.com/Roof-Rack/Yakima/Y05044.html

I've been testing a verity of these stud and hub cleaning products and i think Counteract has the most for different applications, but those set screws will hit the pilot of the F series trucks if they are not screwed down to almost flush, noticed they have a newer pro grade model and was wondering if they solved the problem. 😮
