At least this one looks to be an actual truck, a separated cab and cargo on a frame, unlike the unibody Maverick and Santa Cruz CUVs.

AT 17K STOUT IS TOO MUCH. WE WANT SMALL TRUCKS WITH SMALL PRICE. TOYOTA & FORD SAID 5K RECENTLY. THEN THEY BOTH SAID 8K. WHAT IS IT? 5K WOULD WIN THE DAY. ANYTHING OVER 8K AND YOU ALL LOSE. WE WANT WHAT WE HAD IN THE 70S 80S AND EARLY 90S. THEN THEY TOOK OUR SMALL TRUCKS AWAY.

Slow getting off the line. 160hp AWD takes off and makes it to the next light before the 400hp rear wheel drive F150 takes off. 1998 Magnum 5.6L supercharged makes 500hp.

That truck is ugly. Looks like a Ford Maverick. What they need to do is bring back the Dakota. Basically a mid size version of the TRX with a 3.0L diesel. Change my mind.

May or may not arrive. The Maverick on the other hand, has been here since 2022. 40 mpg, 1500 lbs payload, under $25k.

I agree, the problem is everything is going this way now whether we like it or not. I was looking at a lot of these SUVs and Honda CRV, Nissan Rogue, Subaru, and many others all have CVTs now. And a lot more will be to in the future, as they keep trying to get better mileage.

Building a truck on the Legacy chassis would be a huge mistake. They already tried that with the Baja and it was a failure. Too small and too car like looking.

I'd buy the Montana now if it was in North America. Not everyone wants a big gas guzzler truck and not everyone tows or hauls. Having that little bed is qll I need to haul some mulch, haul some 2x4's, a stove or a washing machine as examples...things most suv's cannot do.
