Hey Andy, no, the rental business was a partnership we tried out, but demand dropped when we had fires, floods and covid, so we pulled the plug. No plans to resume at this stage but Wavez is still going strong and Water Adventures is no more.

As an Australian business, we can't give advice on US rules and regulations. Here, it varies from state to state but most states don't require registration for motorised SUPs and Kayaks, they just require that you wear a life vest.

One drawback. Installing any motor will require state registration, license, and annual fees. A friend of mine put a battery motor on his 6' raft and was fined $200 by the state of Oregon.

It's true, you should learn the rules and regulations in your area. Sometimes the rules don't make sense, but the rules are the rules. Here in Australia, every state is different but most are fine as long as you wear a life vest.

logicwins In the beginning, top speed (3). But I vary speeds throughout the video. The middle speed setting is best for diving and snorkeling.

logicwins you can see all the different speeds and battery run times on the product page here: www.wavez.com.au/scubajet. Since each level has 2 speed settings, Scubajet now represent what i call level 3 (hi/lo) as speeds 5 and 6.

Artur Pamuła Thanks for letting us know about other products out there - interesting! It's important to compare similar products. But at one third the speed and twice the weight, the Raktive doesn't really compare to the Kymera - except on price - about the same. One useful thing to note is that if you run a Kymera that slow, you can also get 2 hours of runtime. Hope that helps!

Thanks Remick :) I replied to your email just now. As you can see in this video, the guy in the video's using two Scubajet's with dive adapters. The SUP adapter will be more efficient and way more convenient, but until it's out I can't verify the performance. However, with a 1kW motor and a non-recessed jet (as opposed to, say, a Wavejet or SUPjet) the peak performance should be pretty amazing!
