So I’ve ordered the kit for both isopods and springtails, however unsure what type I should buy for a leopard boa. And based on what isopods and spring tails what should I do for the ventilation? Thank you

I absoluty enjoyed your video and will help me lot. In the past I had a bearded dragon, but I want to get a leopard gecko at the end of this year I hope. I am wondering: how often do you clean the entire terrarium besides the regular cleaning of poops and stuff? And do I understand correctly that the insects you added to the bioactive terrarium is to keep the enclosure healthy?

What is your ratio of males to females in this specific build? Also, how did it go with a lack of drainage layer?

Again I’m curious I have a masters in agro and horticulture and environmental science as well yet also and enzymic cleanser ? Besides a myco addition. Your thoughts. How about an air stone to keep water oxygenated in use with a cleanser for any issues with water.

So I’m curious no ph of water ? And also substrate no cleanse ? I know horticulture and love your work. Yet these frogs are survivors yet as far as insects a good balance of a ph is key for bugs that can multiply inside easy. Get some soil mites , hyp miles … and I think the pairing of ph and ppm equal variation of horticulture additions would be key correct ? I mean all the different issues. Viruses and bacterial infection.

Looks great Josh. I think the bearded dragons in the wild are going to be jealous😂 I've not tried the pony tail palms yet but you make me want to. I like the grass like appearance just works really well to give a natural look.

I set up a Kages Enclosure last year. The customer service was great and the variety of sizes beats all! I ended up going with a 5x3x3 enclosure for my Bearded Dragon. You can't get this size anywhere else that I'm aware of! My size came freight on a pallet and the driver gladly wheeled it right into my garage. Setup was like you show, but i bought a cheap $5 angle clamp from Harbor Freight to help me hold it together perfectly so i can screw it together in alignment. I heard now they are pre-aligning and drilling pilot holes, which should help. I really like the 3ft height... it seems too tall, but by the time you get your lights in there and your substrate you'll be surprised. Mine has an 11" substrate dam so put TONS of substrate in there.. its 14" deep in some areas, which really keeps things stable and has allowed me to plant a small Olive tree on the shade side of enclosure, which has been thriving one year now and the Dragon loves it. Also have some cork tunnels that go deep for humid hides. Highly advise getting the screens on the top. Basically get as much ventilation as possible. I don't have that but wish i did. Im using a fan though which is hooked to a thermostat and it helps a lot, but ultimately added more ventilation on my own and it helps keep the ambient temps under control. Here's a link of my setup if interested. Im really happy with their product overall.. your videos, Josh really sparked an interest in this for me so would love any feedback. This Dude totally abides 😊 photos.app.goo.gl/aReWyLeTvQkAB3iv8

You helped me so much Josh! I got the kit today that includes the:!Sphagnum Moss, bio shot, terra Sahara, cacao leaf litter and banana leaves! I did not know one thing of how to set it up and I watched this vid and it guided me and now my leopard gecko loves her new setup tank! Her tank is like arm length so pretty small and I can’t remember how long it is but it’s definitely homey for her! ❤❤

Man these guys are cute! My fiancé wants some but it's her first reptile pet of her own (I've owned numerous reptiles and amphibians so I'll most likely be caring for them haha). I just built my first bioactive setup for my Cuban tree frogs thanks to your green tree frog bioactive setup tutorial video since Cubans thrive in greens natural habitats here in the US . We've narrowed it down to emerald tree skinks, the Cuban false chameleon/bearded anole, or the monkey tailed anole/bush anole for her but we're leaning towards the emeralds!

I'am about to have 14 tad-poles kliming out of there water basket and they are standing in terrarium off 45 cm×45cm× 60 cm high. And I have only spagnum mos on the bottem. When I see your movie I think I do have to make a drainage layer. But your story is all in English. The baby frogs will be very tiny and get lost in those leafs. The are Dendrobate Auratus ElCope. Whit's layer's should be (on top) for this baby's ? ? Beginner have never had baby's going on land. I do have 2 little plants.❤❤

Hey there, just came across this vid. Im a bredli keeper in australia and our python actually got scake rot when he was younger when we had him in an old bioactive set up. We ended up switching his substrate up to mostly sand and top soil and set up arid plants and a heap of rocks and after treatment as well the rot went away. Hes also never had issues shedding when his humiditys been low which is awesome. Hes a big baby and i just figurwd id leave this message here.

Hi! Josh! I’m so sorry about Mrs Smithers, I know she is living the best life with you! You take care of her so well and ALL of your animals! But oh my gosh those baby’s are soooooo cute!!! And very pretty we are actually in Australia right now I’ll have to keep an eye out for carpet pythons! I would adopt one of her baby’s but it would be hard to travel with a snake! 🤣 how long did they take to incubate? How long do carpet Pythons get? ❤🐍❤️
@TheBioDudeJoshHalter
@TheBioDudeJoshHalter 29 күн бұрын
Hi Sadie, that's so exciting please share whatever critters you find there with us! Typically Centralian Carpet pythons like Mrs. Smithers grow to about 6-8 feet or longer. The eggs were set to be incubated for around 55 days, but the first pip happened around the 50 day mark.

I wouldn't trust any you find in public places just because you don't know if they've been exposed to chemicals or parasites that could harm your reptile.
