One small tip for folks on the road… If your traffic light is green, check if the intersection is clear. There might be some emergency vehicle trying to cross. Even without the luxury of having escort motor vehicles!

My friend lives in France, and says literally every car is a piece of shit, and totally trashed... She says because th eFrench are terrible drivers... But they truly drive with their ears and eyes closed! Somehow, someway! Lol! Windows down even and the reaction comes at a few centimeters! That is WILD shit!!!

good video, in 1970 when i was stationed in Germany in the US Army, i drove an ambulance for awhile, traffic was much l;ighter then

The two most stupid things i noticed in the USA in traffic, 4 stopsigns at a crossing and turning right at a red light
@Hokiebird4287 сағат бұрын
Usually in the States, if you hear an ambulance behind, you just pull over to the right, and the ambulance can fly down the fast lane on the left, no weaving through traffic required.

Thisbis why French EMT and emergency repsonders vehciles need another siren. The bi-tine siren is way too muffeld into traffic to signal incomin emergency vehicles

Keep one ear on the audio, gentlemen. Buy a good headphone and start monitoring your audio output levels and make adjustments where needed before you start uploading your vid.

kind of fun to see this done by civlian police. Worked as both regular police and as a swedish armed soldier, when i worked in the army i worked as a traffic unit squadleader. this is the exact way we would do it with our BMW GS 800 motorcykles. Calling it "skip a bock"", the lead would take the first intersection, the rest of the MCs would follow through and then try to get past the convoy to get to the next intersecction.

Impressive video. But please don't try to pronounce the rijn-schie kanaal as Rinsheycanal (if you must use English-like pronunciation, Rijn = Rhine, not Rin). Or in double-Dutch: It slams on nowhere, or maybe as a pair of pliers on a pig. Laiden can be excused sort of, because even a Dutchman can still make chocolate out of it, but to understand the Rinsheycanal you have to have local knowledge.

There is a control centre managing such a drive.They have failed seriously.
@einsatzfahrteninsideКүн бұрын
No there is no control centre managing any drives! The drivers themself checks out the route. The Autobahn wasn't closed when the driver turned on the Autobahn. Exiting the Autobahn and going through the city would't have made a difference. The driver knows this area and the sorrunding streets very well and did the right thing.

Id get myself one of those jackets with built in led and have a little button to make it say MOVE AMBULANCE COMING if I was a motorcyclist in one of these places. The ppl like MOVING UP to keep the ambulance from maneuvering better hope they never need one. What ass hats.

Well, other than the one guy on the Autobahn who didn't move out of the way until our driver honked at him, everyone else was behaving mostly ok. The rescue lane still has room for improvement, but it looked great compared to some others I've seen on video :-) So, other than an untimely accident enroute, at least the other parts were reasonably uneventful...

There are many aspects to be considered with the use of a Helicopter. Availability of Helicopter. Distance of Helicopter from patient Weather Patient injury and condition One aspect of the Helicopter not being used on this case could have been the time to have the Helicopter reach the scene. This may have also included the time to have the patient transported by Ambulance to a nearby field or sportsground etc to be transfered to the Helicopter, if there was not a safe landing area near by. By the time all of this had occured the patient could possibly have reached Hospital by Ambulance. With cases of trauma such as a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) or an Industrial Accident it may take an extended time to extricate the casualty and prepare them for flight which could negate the time for the Helicopter to arrive on scene.

Being inattentive enough to not check your view mirrors every now and then to see the flashing lights is categorically the same as someone saying that driving a manual car is too "complicated" Neither should be allowed on the road.

A ‘young child.’ A child is, by definition, ‘young.’ If they are not young, they are not a child. It’s either ‘a young human’ or ‘a child.’ Child is the preferred usage. Does one say ‘wet water?”
@tristanros6148Күн бұрын
Child can refer to a son or daughter of any age.
@mjouwbuisКүн бұрын
English might not be your native language, or life might not be your native environment. A young child is usually below a certain age, varies a bit by context. Maybe below 10. Or it may in this case be a translation of more specific Dutch words such as kleuter (4-6) or peuter (below 4).

When passing intersections/crossings and roundabouts they sure do, they stop all other traffic that could hinder the flow of driving the ambulance.
@josyms7849Күн бұрын
@Jo_Kuiper the police car would be able to do that. Also, there wasn't a large amount of traffic on the road either (compared to the UK)
@user-gf4mi3mr2sКүн бұрын
NOT SURE IF THE MOTORBIKES MADE MUCH DIFFERENCE ??? They made the transport of a Critically ill patient Quicker and Safer by stopping traffic prior to the Ambulance reaching intersections and roundabouts. They also assisted Ambulance staff have a more stable platform to treat the patient by allowing the Ambulance to maintain a constant speed and informing them of changes to the road surface. One would have to impressed with this extremely well carried out service provided by the 2 Police bikes, 1 Police car and 1 Ambulance. BRAVO ZULU (Naval term meaning Extremely Well Done)

It is nice to see the collective work. Makes me remember when I as a paramedic worked together with police or another ambulances crew, if police wasn't at the scene from the beginning. Where I worked, we had two possible roads to the nearest emergency hospital. When we knew it would be necessary we called 911 from the ambulance i.e. the driver of the ambulance called, asking them to hold the bridge, 911 called the bridge operators red phone (only used for this task) asking him or her to hold the bridge. Sometimes if we were to close and it was not possible we received that information and could choose the other bridge instead. Memory lane... ❤
